Co-Emperor at Byzantine Empire between 10 January 976 and 1024.14 He was co-ruler with Basil II Bulgaroctonos, basileus Rhomaiôn; Co-Emperor.3 Constantine VIII Porphyrogenitos, basileus Rhomaiôn was a coward and weak in wars but in the vulgar enjoyments he was supreme and whomever he suspected of bad intentions towards his government was immediately blinded.3 He was became sole Emperor of Byzantium, and although co-emperor for half a century, he had never played a part in governance, devoting all his time to pleasures such as the theater, horse-racing, gladiatorial combats, hunting, wild animal combats, and gambling, in 1025.8 Emperor at Byzantine Empire between 1025 and 1028.3 He choose one of the senators, named Romanos Argyropoulos, to marry his daughter, Zoe, and after he proclaimed Romanos [co-]emperor he died.3 He was the predecessor of basileus Rhomaiôn Romanus III Argyropoulos; Co-Emperor.14,3 Constantine VIII Porphyrogenitos, basileus Rhomaiôn was buried in the Church of the Holy Apostates, Constantinople, Byzantium. He was the last emperor buried in this church. He died on 11 November 1028 at Constantinople, Byzantine Empire. He died aged seventy, after an illness of only two days.1,16,8
