He was routed and killed in battle by Vladimir II Monomakh.³

     Izyaslav Vladimirovich, Prince of Kursk was born circa 1078.¹ He was the son of Vladimir II Monomakh Vsevolodovich, Prince of Pereyaslavl, Smolensk, Chernigov, and Kiev and Gytha of Wessex.¹ Prince of Kursk in 1095.² Izyaslav Vladimirovich, Prince of Kursk was a witness where Oleg Gorislavich Svyatoslavich, Prince of Volynia and Chernigov killed his godson, Izyaslav, son of Vladimir II Monomakh, in battle on 6 September 1096 at near Murom, Rus.¹ Izyaslav Vladimirovich, Prince of Kursk died on 6 September 1096 at near Murom, Rus. He was killed in battle against prince Oleg Svyatoslavich of Cherinigov.¹
