Chronicle of Ystrad Fflur 1094: "In this year the Britons being unable to bear the tyranny and injustice of the French, threw off the rule of the French, and they destroyed their castles in Gwynedd and inflicted slaughter upon them. And the French brought a host to Gwynedd and Cadwgan ap Bleddyn drove them to flight with great slaughter at Coed Yspwys."1 Chronicle of Ystrad Fflur 1096: "In this year ... the war-band of Cadwgan ap Bleddyn despoiled the castle at Pembroke."2 Chronicle of Ystrad Fflur 1099: "In this year Cadwgan ap Bleddyn and Gruffudd ap Cynan returned from Ireland. And, after making peace with the French, they received a portion of the land and the kingdom."3 Cadwgan ap Bleddyn, Prince of Powys died circa 1111.

He was the successor of Waltheof Siwardsson, 1st Earl of Northumberland, Huntingdon and Northampton; 1st Earl of Huntingdon and Northampton.5 Simon de St. Liz I, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon was the son of Ranulph "the Rich" de St. Liz.1 Simon de St. Liz I, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon appears to have come to England early in the reign of King William II before 1090.1 He witnessed a charter to Bath Abbey as "Earl Simon" in 1090.1 2nd Earl of Huntingdon and Northampton at England in 1090?.1 He married Maud of Huntingdon, daughter of Waltheof Siwardsson, 1st Earl of Northumberland, Huntingdon and Northampton and Judith "the Countess" de Lens, in 1090?; Her 1st.6 Simon de St. Liz I, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon built the castle of Northampton, and founded, or refounded, the Priory of St. Andrew in that town, and made it dependent on the Cluniac house of La Charité-sur-Loire in Bourgogne, France, between 1090 and 1108.1 He was went to Jerusalem cruce signatus, and returned safely, in 1096?.6 He witnessed the charter of liberties issued by King Henry I at his coronation on 6 August 1100.1 He granted an ample charter to the Priory of St. Andrew in conjunction with Maud his wife in 1108.1 He probably built St. Sepulchre's circa 1109 at Northampton, England.7 He was a benefactor to Daventry Priory, with a confirmation in 1109.1 He died in 1111 at Priory of La Charité-sur-Loire, Bourgogne, France. Set out for Jerusalem again, but died on the way at the priory.6 He was the predecessor of Dabid mac Mail Colaim, rí Alban & Saxan; 3rd Earl of Huntington and Northampton.6

He was the son of Robert "Guiscard", duc d' Apulia and Alberada of Buonalbergo.1,2 Bohémond I "le Baroudeur", prince d' Antioche was a witness where Robert "Guiscard", duc d' Apulia of Byzantine Corfu, off the coast of Greece, with his three sons, Bohemond, Roger Borsa, and Guy in 1083.4 Bohémond I "le Baroudeur", prince d' Antioche participated in Robert Guiscard's capture of Byzantine Corfu, off the coast of Greece in 1083.4 He was a witness where Roger "Borsa", duc d' Apulia came into conflict with his half brother Bohemond de Hauteville after his succession to his father's lands and title in 1085.4 Bohémond I "le Baroudeur", prince d' Antioche witnessed the death of Robert "Guiscard", duc d' Apulia on 17 July 1085 at near Cephalonia, Greece, Byzantine Empire; Following his successes, he returned to his campaign on the Adriatic coast, but died during the siege of Cephalonia. He died of the epidemic which had earlier incapacitated his army. He was a witness where Alexios I Komnenos, basileus Rhomaiôn battled with the arriving crusaders outside of the Theodosian Walls, and convinced Godfrey and Bohemund to swear an oath of allegiance to him, and that they would return to the empire any of the empire's former possessions that they might recapture, on 9 April 1097 at Constantinople, Byzantine Empire. Bohémond I "le Baroudeur", prince d' Antioche was arrived, and cheerfully submitted to the Emperor as a friend, knowing success lay in having the Byzantines as allies on 9 April 1097 at Constantinople.9 He was was a leader of the first crusade, and captured Antioch in 1098 at the Holy Land. Prince of Antioch at Anatolia between 1099 and 1111.2,8 He married Constance de France, daughter of Philippe I "Amorons", roi des Francs and Bertha van Holland, in 1106 at Chartres, France; His 2nd. Her 2nd. From this marriage descend the Princes of Antioch.10,1,11,2,8 Bohémond I "le Baroudeur", prince d' Antioche died on 3 March 1111 at Canossa, Italy, at age 59 years.10 Bohémond I "le Baroudeur", prince d' Antioche was buried in the Cathedral, Canossa di Puglia, Italy.

     Also called Bertold de Zeringen I, duc de Carinthie.4 Berthold II von Zähringen, Herzog von Schwaben was born circa 1055.5 He was the son of Berthold I "der Bärtige" von Zähringen, Markgraf von Verona, Herzog von Kärnten and Richwara von Sulzbach.2,3 Berthold II von Zähringen, Herzog von Schwaben was a witness where Agnès, Kaiserin der Römisches Reich gave the duchies of Swabia to Rudolf von Rheinfelden, Carinthia to Berthold von Zähringen, and Bavaria to Otto von Northeim, who soon became her sons biggest enemies in 1057.6 Berthold II von Zähringen, Herzog von Schwaben was created Duke of Carinthia by the dowager Empress Agnes, regent of Henry IV of Germany, in 1057.6 Duke of Carinthia in 1057.6 Annales Mellicensis 1073: "Roudolfus dux Alamanniae et Wulfo dux Baioariae, nec non Perhtolfus dux Carinthiorum in unum coniurant adversus regem Heinricum."7 He married Agnes von Rheinfelden, Herzogin von Zähringen, daughter of Rudolf, Gegenkönig von Deutschland and Adelaide de Savoie.8 Duke of Swabia at German Empire between 1092 and 1098.9 Berthold II von Zähringen, Herzog von Schwaben died on 12 April 1111.1,10 Berthold II von Zähringen, Herzog von Schwaben was buried in St. Peter's im Schwarzwald.3

He was joined by Stephen of Blois, father of the same-named future King of England, and Robert of Normandy, son of William the Conqueror. He was present at the siege and capture of Jerusalem in July 1099.9 He fought with his suzerain, Louis VI the Fat of France, against the English in 1100.1 He died on 5 October 1111 at near Meaux, France. He was drowned when a bridge he was on collapsed.1 He was the predecessor of Boudewijn VII "med de Bijl", Graaf van Vlaanderen; 12th Count of Flanders.8,3,4

     Aubrey de Vere I was a Breton.2 His family probably came from Vair in Ancenis, in the Nantais. At Brittany.2 He was related to Maud de Vere; daughter to Aubrey de Vere.3 Aubrey de Vere I was born circa 1037 at Vair, Ancenis, in the Nantais, Brittany. He occurs amongst a group of men from the Nantais in a charter given by Conan II circa 1050.2 (No later evidence establishes any connection between Aubrey's family and Ver in the Contentin.).2 He married Beatrice de Ghisnes before 1062.4 Aubrey de Vere I was a Domesday tenant of the powerful Breton tenant-in-chief Count Alan Rufus, and was among a handful of Alan's Bretons who were also tenant-in-chief of their own fees before 1086.2 He was of little note in England before 1100.4 He was active in Berkshire, either or possibly both a sheriff or justiciar, at early Henry I, England.4 He died circa 1112.4 Aubrey de Vere I was buried in Colne Priory, a cell of Abingdon.4

Hedwig von Sachsen and Engelbert I "der Ältere" von Spanheim, Markgraf von Istrien founded the Cloister of St. Paul in 1091 at Salzburg, Austria.1 Hedwig von Sachsen died circa 17 July 1112.3

     Henri I de Bourgogne, comte de Portugal was born in 1066 at Dijon, Burgundy, France.4,5 He was the son of Henri de Bourgogne and Sybilla de Barcelona.3 Henri I de Bourgogne, comte de Portugal married Teresa Alfonsez de Castilla, daughter of Alfonso VI Fernández "el Bravo", rey de León and Jimena Muñoz de Asturias, in 1093; From this union descend the Kings of Portugal.6 Henri I de Bourgogne, comte de Portugal was appointed as Count of Portugal by his father-in-law, Alfonso VI of Castile in 1095.7 Count of Portugal between 1095 and 1112.4,8 He was a crusader. He was a witness where Alfonso VI Fernández "el Bravo", rey de León granted a royal charter to the Bishop of Oviedo, accompanied by his queen and his two daughters by her, the infantas Sancha and Elvira; the king's son by Zaida and his sons-in-law and their wives also confirmed, on 16 March 1104 at Asturia.9 Henri I de Bourgogne, comte de Portugal successfully defended Portugal against the Muslims before 1112.10 He died on 1 November 1112 at Astorga, Galicia, Spain, at age 46 years.4,5 He was the predecessor of Teresa Alfonsez de Castilla; Governess of Portugal.10 Henri I de Bourgogne, comte de Portugal was the predecessor of Afonso I "O Conquistador", rei de Portugal; Count of Portugal.8 Henri I de Bourgogne, comte de Portugal was buried in Sé Cathedral, Braga, Portugal. The cathedral was originally constructed on the site of a Roman temple and a 6th-century church by Henry of Burgundy (father of the first king of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques), whose remains are here in the Chapel of Kings (Capela dos Reis).11

He died of typhus.3 Tancrède, prince de Tibériade was buried in St. Peters Cathedral, Antioch, Outremer.3
