     Tertulle, comte d'Anjou was a Breton at diocese of Rennes.² He was born in 821. He was the son of Torquatius de Rennes.² Tertulle, comte d'Anjou was described as of noble stock. "In the time of Charles the Bald, some new men, not of noble rank, more inclined to good and honorable deeds than the nobles, rose to positions of power and eminence. From that stock was Tertullus, from whom the line of the consuls of Anjou took its beginning, a man who knew how to wound the enemy, sleep on the bare earth, put up with hunger, suffer winter and summer with equal patience, and fear nothing but a bad name." "Charles the Bald held Tertullus dear, of whom we are speaking, for his merits, and gave him a wife and a piece of a fief in the castle of Landonense, and gave him a holding made up of some other lands, both in the Gâtine and in other places of France. ... Willa von Hoch-Burgund married Markgraf von Tuszien Boso III von Arles, son of Theotbald, Graf von Arles and Berta des Francs, before 910.^1,2

     Ermengarde d'Anjou was born in 1013.² She was the daughter of Foulques III "Nerra", comte d'Anjou and Hildegarde von Metz.¹ Ermengarde d'Anjou married Geoffroy II "Ferreol", comte de Gâtinais, son of Geoffroy I, comte de Gâtinais and Beatrice de Mâcon, in 1035; Her 1st.      Agnes d' Évereux was sister and in her issue heiress of William, 3rd Count of Evreux, and stepsister to Ralph de Tosny, and daughter of Richard, 2nd Count of Evreux.² She was born circa 1042?. She was the daughter of Richard, 2nd comte d' Évereux and Adelaide de Barcelona.² Agnes d' Évereux married Simon I, seigneur de Montfort, son of Amauri I, 1st seigneur de Montfort and Bertrade (?); His 3rd.²

     Bertrade (?) was born in 995. She married Amauri I, 1st seigneur de Montfort, son of Guillaume de Hainaut, before 1025.¹ Bertrade (?) consented, with her children, to her husband's gifts to Marmoutier of Senicourt, near Chartres, and the churches of Olmets, Helmoret, Rambouillet, and Prouvais in 1053.¹

     Guillaume de Hainaut was born in 967. He was invested with the lordship of Montfor by Hugh Capet before 996.¹ Seigneur de Monfort at France in 996.

     Paule du Maine was born circa 1012?. She was the daughter of Heribert I "Eveillechien", comte du Maine.¹ Paule du Maine was the heiress of Maine in 1036. She married Lancelin I, seigneur de Beaugency, son of Landry Sore, seigneur de Beaugency.¹

     His parentage appears to be problematic, but has been suppled with alleged ancestors (or conflicting parentages) in various sources.¹ Gervais, seigneur de Château-du-Loire was born in 1030. He was the son of Robert de Château-du-Loire and Elizabeth (?).¹ Gervais, seigneur de Château-du-Loire married Eremburge (?).¹

     Polotsk is a town built near the Polota river as it flows into the West Dvina (Daugava). After death of Prince Svyatoslav the Warlike of Kiev (972) it was captured by Varyags (Sweden vikings) and ruled by Ragnvald who became the first prince of Polotsk. Later recaptured by Kiev, it became the most significant of the White Russian Principalities during the Middle Ages.¹ Rognald, Prince of Polotsk was of the Varyags (Sweden vikings).¹ Also called Rogvolod.¹ He was born in 936. Nikita the Drevlyanid witnessed the death of Igor I Rurikovich, Grand Prince of Kiev in 945 at Kiev, Rus; He was assassinated by his subjects while attempting to extort excessive tribute.

     Alfrind of Denmark was born in 850. She was the daughter of N. N. of Denmark. Alfrind of Denmark married Ryurik of Jutland (semi-legendary), son of Hálfdan of Frisia, before 877.

     Yaropolk I Svyatoslavich, Prince of Kiev was born circa 951. He was the son of Svyatoslav I Igorovich, Grand Prince of Kiev and Predslawa of Hungary.¹ Yaropolk I Svyatoslavich, Prince of Kiev was the successor of Svyatoslav I Igorovich, Grand Prince of Kiev; Grand Prince of Kiev.^1,2 Yaropolk I Svyatoslavich, Prince of Kiev was the successor of Rognald, Prince of Polotsk; Prince of Polotsk.³ Prince of Kiev at Rus between 972 and 978.⁴ Yaropolk I Svyatoslavich, Prince of Kiev succeeded his father as Prince of Kiev in 973.      Anna Porphyrogenita of Byzantium was born before 963. She was the daughter of Romanus II, basileus Rhomaiôn and Theophano of Constantinople.^1,2 Anna Porphyrogenita of Byzantium married Vladimir I Velikiy Svyatoslavich, Grand Prince of Kiev, son of Svyatoslav I Igorovich, Grand Prince of Kiev and Malusha the Drevlyanid, in 990; His 7th. The marriage to Anna cemented the ties between Byzantine and Kiev. (She was just one more of a number of wifes and a harem of hundreds of concubines. All these women were one pleasure he would not sacrifice in becoming christian. One chronicler said he was a "fornicator immensus et crudelis.") Her brother, Basil II, gave her hand in marriage to Vladimir for his support in fighting the revolt of John Tzimisces.^1,2

     Also called Svyatopolk "the Accursed".² Svyatopolk I Vladimirovich, Grand Prince of Kiev also went by the name of Svyatopolk "the Damned". He was the successor of Vladimir I Velikiy Svyatoslavich, Grand Prince of Kiev; Grand Prince of Kiev.³ Svyatopolk I Vladimirovich, Grand Prince of Kiev was born circa 980. He was the son of Vladimir I Velikiy Svyatoslavich, Grand Prince of Kiev and N. N. (?).¹ Prince of Turov at Rus between 988 and 1010.
