Died a widow and a nun.

He died of a sickness on a trip to Tuscany.1,2,5 Pope Stephen IX (X) was buried in the church of S. Reparata.1

He was born on 28 July 1016.1,2 He was the son of Mieszko II Lambert, Król Polska and Richeza von Bonngau.1,2 Kazimierz I Odnowiciel, Król Polska failed to take full control of the country which had slipped towards anarchy after the death of his father in 1034.2 He was exiled by the rebellious nobles in 1037.2 He was a witness where Bretislav I, Kníze Ceská invaded Poland, sacked Poznan and Gniezno, stole the relics of Adalbert, the patron saint of Poland, and then captured Silesia between 1037 and 1038.2 Kazimierz I Odnowiciel, Król Polska returned to Poland, and in these dramatic circumstances, his return encountered no opposition from the local nobles, and proceeded to reconstruct the state and restore its economy and civilization, regaining Silesia and incorporating Mazovia as well, in 1038.2 He became King following his father and a period of Civil War (1034-1038) in 1038. He married Dobroniega Yaroslavna, daughter of Yaroslav I Mudriy Vladimirovich, Grand Prince of Kiev and Ingigerth, in 1038. King of Poland between 1038 and 1058. Kazimierz I Odnowiciel, Król Polska moved the capital to Cracow since Great Poland and its oldest towns, Poznan and Gniezno, were in ruins.2 He died on 28 November 1058 at age 42 years and 4 months.1,2

He was the successor of basileus Rhomaiôn Michael VI Gerontas Stratiotikos; Emperor.5,4,6,7 Basileus Rhomaiôn Isaakios I Komnenos married Ekaterina Kometopoulos, daughter of Ivan Vladislav, Tsar of Bulgaria and Marija of Byzantium, before 1057.8,7 Basileus Rhomaiôn Isaakios I Komnenos entered into a military plot to depose the emperor Michael VI in 1057.4 He proclaimed emperor by his troops in June 1057 at Paphlagonia in Asia Minor.4 Emperor at Byzantine Empire between 8 June 1057 and 25 December 1059.4 He defeated Emperor Michael's forces at Petroë on 20 August 1057.4 He was crowned emperor on 1 September 1057 at Constantinople, Byzantine Empire.4 He led a military expedition against the Hungarians in 1058 at spring.4 He he fought against the Pechenegs, who were ravaging the northern frontiers, in 1058 at summer.4 He abdicated the imperial title, and retired to a monastery, where he spent the remaining two years of his life as a monk, alternating menial offices with literary studies in 1059.4 He became ill, said to have caught a cold while hunting while on a campaign against the Patzniaks, in November 1059.4 He abdicated, believing his illness mortal, and appointed Constantine X Ducas as his successor on 25 December 1059.4 He was a witness where basileus Rhomaiôn Constantine X Doukas appointed as the successor of Isaac I Comnenus to the imperial title on 25 December 1059.4 Basileus Rhomaiôn Isaakios I Komnenos was the predecessor of basileus Rhomaiôn Constantine X Doukas; Emperor.5,9 Basileus Rhomaiôn Isaakios I Komnenos died in 1061 at the monastery of Stoudion, Constantinople, Byzantine Empire.
