There are lots of uncertainties about these lines, since many records have not survived. Source materials for most things in the medieval Balkans are ususally not from contemporary writers, and the few contemporary sources existing are usually from Byzantine writers, not writers from the various states themselves. There are lots of uncertainties about these lines, since many records have not survived. Source materials for most things in the medieval Balkans are ususally not from contemporary writers, and the few contemporary sources existing are usually from Byzantine writers, not writers from the various states themselves. The tables I'm about to present are based on Europaeische Stammtafeln, but modified by some recent scholarship by John V. A. FatherOleg Gorislavich Svyatoslavich, Prince of Volynia and Chernigov d. 1115
Igor II Olegovich, Great Prince of Kiev was the son of Oleg Gorislavich Svyatoslavich, Prince of Volynia and Chernigov. Igor II Olegovich, Great Prince of Kiev was buried in Chernigov, Rus. His holy relics were transferred, by his confederate and a brother by birth of the murdered Igor, the Chernigov prince Svyatoslav Ol'govich, to Chernigov his native region, where they were placed into a reliquary "with an attic-garret" in the Saviour cathedral church.1 His baptism name was George.1 He was related to Svyatoslav Olegovich, Prince of Chernigov; a brother by birth of the murdered St. Igor (Prince Igor II of Kiev).1 Igor II Olegovich, Great Prince of Kiev was the successor of Vsevolod II Olegovich, Prince of Chernigov and Kiev; Prince of Kiev.2,3 Igor II Olegovich, Great Prince of Kiev was a witness where Izyaslav II Mstislavich, Prince of Pereyaslavl and Kiev defeated Great Prince Igor Ol'govich of Kiev, took him, and imprisoned him in one of the monasteries of Russian or Southern Pereyaslavl' (now Pereyaslavl'-Khmel'nitsk). In 1146.1 Great Prince of Kiev at Rus between 2 August 1146 and 13 August 1146.4,3 Igor II Olegovich, Great Prince of Kiev suffered defeat and was taken captive by prince Izyaslav, who imprisoned him in one of the monasteries of Southern Pereyaslavl' (now Pereyaslavl'-Khmel'nitsk). On 13 August 1146 at Pereyaslavl, Rus.1,3 He was the predecessor of Izyaslav II Mstislavich, Prince of Pereyaslavl and Kiev; Prince of Kiev, 1st reign.5 Igor II Olegovich, Great Prince of Kiev far removed from the vanities of this world, and grievously ill, and began to repent of his sins and asked permission to be tonsured a monk in 1146/47 at Pereyaslavl, Rus.1 He was tonsured into monasticism with the name Gavriil [Gabriel] by the Pereyaslavl' bishop Evphymii on 5 January 1147 at Pereyaslavl, Rus.1 He recovered his health and transferred to the Theodorov monastery, where he became a schemamonk with the name Ignatii, and devoted himself entirely to monastic efforts, between February 1147 and August 1147 at Kiev, Rus.1 He died on 19 September 1147 at Kiev, Rus. His cousins, the princes of Chernigov, plotted against Izyaslav, the prince of Kiev, and enticed him to join a campaign with them, with hopes to capture or even kill him. The ruse was discovered, and the Kievans, enraged at the Chernigovichi, stormed into where the quite innocent St. Igor was and brutally murdered him.1 He was a witness where Svyatoslav Olegovich, Prince of Chernigov solemnly transferred the holy relics of Saint Igor from Kiev to Chernigov, his native region, and placed them into a reliquary "with an attic-garret" in the Saviour cathedral church on 5 June 1150 at Chernigov, Rus.1 His Feast Day on 5 June or 18 June.1
