     St. Theodora Mamikonean was born circa 815.4 She was the daughter of Marinos Mamikonean and Theoctista Phlorina of Paphlogonia.1,2,3 St. Theodora Mamikonean married Theophilius "the Unfortunate", basileus Rhomaiôn, son of Michael II "the Stammerer", basileus Rhomaiôn and Thecla Turcina, on 5 June 830.3,4,2,5,6 St. Theodora Mamikonean became a nun when she was widowed in 842.4 Regent at Byzantine Empire between 20 January 842 and March 856.4,5 She died on 24 September 867. She apparently died on this date.4

N. ingen Néill Cenél nEógain.2 Flannacán, rí Bregh was a witness where Áed Finnliath mac Néill, rí Ailech, Ard-rí na h'Éireann defended the North, with Flann, son of Conang, against an incursion by Maelseachlainn, High King of Ireland, and his host the men of Leinster, Munster and Connaught, and of the southern Ui Neill, but failed to gain a total victory in 858.3 Flannacán, rí Bregh defended the North, with Aedh Finnliath, son of Niall, against an incursion by Maelseachlainn, High King of Ireland, and his host the men of Leinster, Munster and Connaught, and of the southern Ui Neill, but failed to gain a total victory in 858.3 He was a witness where Máel Sechnaill, rí Midi, *Ard-rí na h'Éireann* led a host of the men of Leinster, Munster and Connaught, and of the southern Ui Neill, into the North, pitching a camp at Magh Dumha, in the vicinity of Ard Macha, where they were attacked by Aedh Finnliath, son of Niall, and Flann, son of Conang, and Maelseachlainn and his army manfully defended the camp in 858 at Ulster, Ireland.3 Flannacán, rí Bregh and Áed Finnliath mac Néill, rí Ailech, Ard-rí na h'Éireann went with the lord of the foreigners (Amhlaeibh of Dublin?) to plunder Meath, and committed great depredations there in 860.4 Flannacán, rí Bregh was a witness where Ímar mac rígh Lochlainne, rex Nordmannorum totius Hibernie & Brittanie plundered, with Amblaeibh, and Uailsi, two other chieftains of the foreigners; and Lorcan, son of Cathal, lord of Meath, the land of Flann, son of Conang in 861.5 Flannacán, rí Bregh was attacked by Amblaeibh, Imhar, and Uailsi, three chieftains of the foreigners; and Lorcan, son of Cathal, lord of Meath, who plundered his territory in 861.5 He was a witness where Amlaíb Conung mac rígh Lochlainne (Historical) plundered, with Imhar, and Uailsi, two other chieftains of the foreigners; and Lorcan, son of Cathal, lord of Meath, the land of Flann, son of Conang in 861.5 Annals of Ulster 864: "Aed son of Niall and Flann son of Conaing gained a great victory over Ainbíth son of Aed and the Ulaid in the territory of the descendants of Conall the Craftsman. / Roiniudh mór re n-Aedh m. Neill & re Flaunn m. Conaing for Anfidh m. n-Aedho co n-Ultaib i tír Conailli Cerd."6 Annals of Ulster 868: "Aed son of Niall won a battle at Cell Ua nDaigri against the Uí Néill of Brega, and the Laigin, and a large force of the foreigners, i.e. three hundred or more; and Flann son of Conaing, king of all Brega, and Diarmait son of Etarscéle, king of Loch Gabor, fell therein; and in this battle very many of the heathens were slaughtered; and Fachtna son of Mael Dúin, heir designate of the North, and many others, fell in the counter-attack of the battle. / Bellum re n-Aedh m. Neill oc Cill Oa n-Daighri for Ou Neill Breg & for Laighniu & for sluagh mor di Ghallaib, .i. tri cét uel eo amplius, in quo ceciderunt Flann m. Conaing rig Bregh n-uile, & Diarmait m. Maele Duin, righdomnai ind Fochlai do-rochair i frithguin in catha, & alii multi."7 Flannacán, rí Bregh died in 868 at a battle at Cell Ua nDaigri. He fell in battle.7 Annals of Ulster an unknown date : "Flann son of Conaing, a king until now, Took the land once held by Tadc son of Cian; He was a golden shoot to protect the seed of Niall That had sprouted from the fairy hill of good Cerna. It is strange to look at the estuary of the Boyne (It is fitting to keep a pact in mind) And not to see the active(?) warrior of Fernach(?) In 869.7 Hlothar II, roi de Lotharingie died on 8 August 869 at Placenza at age 34 years. He died unexpectedly from an attack of malaria.5,4,2,6,14

     Ermentrudis d' Orléans was daughter of Odo, Count of Orleans, by Engeltrudis, sister of Count Adalhard, seneschal of Louis the Pious, from the family of Gerhard I, Count of Paris.3 She was born on 27 October 830.4,5 She was the daughter of Eudes, comte d' Orléans and Ingeltrud, Gräfin von Orleans.2,3 Ermentrudis d' Orléans married Carolus II Calvus, empereur auguste, son of Hludowic I Pius, empereur auguste and Judith, Fränkische Königin, on 13 December 842 at Quierzy; His 1st.3 Ermentrudis d' Orléans and Carolus II Calvus, empereur auguste were divorced in 867; Separated.3 Ermentrudis d' Orléans retired to a monastery between 867 and 6 October 869.3 She died on 6 October 869 at Abbey of St. Denis, Paris, France, at age 38 years, 11 months and 9 days.6,7,8 Ermentrudis d' Orléans was buried in the Basilica of St. Denis, Paris, France.3

This was the occasion when three kings of the foreigners, i.e. Amlaíb and Ímar and Auisle, plundered the land of Flann son of Conaing; and Lorcán son of Cathal, king of Mide, was with them in this. / Uamh Achaidh Alddai & Cnodhbai & uam Fheirt Boadan os Dubadh & uam Mna Angobann ro scruidiset Gaill, quod antea non perfectum est, .i. a fecht ro slatsat .iii. righ Gall feronn Flaind m. Conaing, .i. Amhlaim & Ímhar & Auisle; & Lorcan m. Cathail leo occa, rí Mide."8 Ímar mac rígh Lochlainne, rex Nordmannorum totius Hibernie & Brittanie was leader, with his two brothers, of an enormous Danish army consisting of around ten thousand men in 866 at East Anglia, England. He was sacked York with his brothers after a fierce attack on the ancient city on 1 November 866. Annals of Ulster 870: "The siege of Ail Cluaithe by the Norsemen: Amlaíb and Ímar, two kings of the Norsemen, laid siege to the fortress and at the end of four months they destroyed and plundered it. / Obsesio Ailech Cluathe a Norddmannis, .i. Amlaiph & Imhar, duo reges Norddmannorum obsederunt arcem illum & distruxerunt in fine .iiii. mensium arcem & predauerunt."9 Annals of Ulster 871: "Amlaíb and Ímar returned to Áth Cliath from Alba with two hundred ships, bringing away with them in captivity to Ireland a great prey of Angles and Britons and Picts. / Amhlaiph & Ímar do thuidecht afrithisi du Ath Cliath a Albain dibh cetaibh long, & praeda maxima hominum Anglorum & Britonum & Pictorum deducta est secum ad Hiberniam in captiuitate."10 King of Dublin at Ireland between 871 and 873. He died in 873 at Dublin, Ireland.3,11 Annals of Ulster 873: "Ímar, king of the Norsemen of all Ireland and Britain, ended his life. / Imhar, rex Nordmannorum totius Hibernie & Brittanie, uitam finiuit."11

     Osburh of Hampshire was the daughter of one of Æthelwulf's officials and herself descended from the West Saxon royal line.4 She was born circa 810 at Wessex, England. She was the daughter of Oslac of Hampshire, Princerna Regis.2,3 Osburh of Hampshire married Æthelwulf, King of the English, son of Ecgberht "the Great", King of the English and Redburga (?), before 826; His 1st.5,2,3 The marriage of Osburh of Hampshire and Æthelwulf, King of the English was annulled in 853. Osburh of Hampshire died after 876.

In 817.7 Hludowic II Germanicus, roi married Königin des ostfränkischen Reiches Hemma von Altdorf, daughter of Graf im Schussen Welf von Altdorf and Heilwig des Franken, in 827 at Regensburg.7,3,4 Hludowic II Germanicus, roi was a witness where Hludowic I Pius, empereur auguste his sons, Lothar, Pepin and Louis the German joined forces and (with the support of the Pope) defeated him in 833 at the Battle of Colmar. Hludowic II Germanicus, roi was the successor of Hlothar I, empereur auguste; King of the Franks, restored.8 Oath of Strasbourg: Louis II the German and Charles II the Bald affirmed their alliance against elder brother, Lothair I. In 842.7 The Treaty of Verdun: The empire was divided into three kingdoms arranged along a north-south axis: Francia Orientalis was given to Louis, Francia Media to Lothair, and Francia Occidentalis to Charles the Bald. The three kings were equal among themselves. Lothair kept the imperial title, but it had completely lost its universal character and had meaning only in a portion of the old empire. In 843.7 Hludowic II Germanicus, roi was a witness where Judith, Fränkische Königin incited Pepin and Louis the German against Lothar in 843. King of the East Franks at Frankish Empire between 843 and 875.8 Styled par la grâce de Dieu, roi. Hludowic II Germanicus, roi was the successor of Hlothar II, roi de Lotharingie; King of Lotharingia.9 Hludowic II Germanicus, roi made arrangements to partition his kingdom in 864. Bavaria and the East Mark to go to Carloman, Saxony and Franconia to go to Louis the Younger, and Swabia to go to Charles the Fat. The Treaty of Meersen: Northern Lotharingia divided by East and West Frankish Kingdoms (and Charlemagne's city, Aachen, becomes forevermore German) in 870. He managed to gain a share of Lotharingia with the Treaty of Meerssen in 870.10 Annales Xantenses 873: "Ludewicus, rex orientalis, placitum publicum episcoporum ac laicorum ad Vadum Francorum celebravit."11 He was unable to prevent his brother's, Charles the Bald, coronation as emperor in 875.7 He devoted most of his attention to fighting the Muslims who threatened the peninsula and the papal territories before 876.7 He died on 28 August 876 at Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany.12
