     Berchthold IV, Schwäbisher Pfalzgraf was an important supporter of the Emperors Chalres III the Fat and Arnulf of Carinthia.² He was from the ducal house of the Alaholfingers, an in-law of the Emperor Charles III "the Fat."² He was born circa 850?.      Eberhard I, Graf im Zürich- und Sülichgaus was the father of Judith, Herzogin von Bayern; daughter of Grafen Eberhard im Sülichgau, grandniece of Emperor Berengar I.³ Also called Graf im Zürichgau Eberhard I von Zürich.⁴ Eberhard I, Graf im Zürich- und Sülichgaus was born circa 856.⁵ He was the son of Adalhard "von Burc", Laienabt von Cysoing and Swanaburc (?).² Eberhard I, Graf im Zürich- und Sülichgaus married Gisela, Gräfin im Zürichgau.^1,4

     N. N. (?) was born circa 951. She was the daughter of Fruela Gonzalez (?) and Saracina (?).¹

     Saracina (?) was well documented, but her parentage is unknown.¹ Claim: Fruela Gonzalez (great-grandfather of Alfonso V's queen) marries Saracina, whose name indicates muslim descent. Discussion: Recent hypothesis based on onomastics. Possibility suggested, but not supported by Evans. Saracina herself is well documented, but her parentage is unknown. As numerous muslim names (Abolmundar, Saracino, Abd 'al-Malic, Zayd/Cid etc) seem to have acrued to the local mozarab, and even christian families, a conclusion such as this based solely on her name is not prudent. The family of Fruela tended (strongly) to marry within a narrow kinship, comprised of the descendants of brothers Osorio and Hermengildo Gutierrez, brothers Diego and Ero Fernandez, and Count Alfonso Betote, and the name Saracino appears a century before in these families, so no immediate muslim ancestors need enter the picture to explain the use of this name. (Whether the earlier appearance of Saracino in this family suggests an even earlier muslim connection must be left to speculation, as documentation is so slim as to prevent such conclusions from being supported.) - taf.¹ Also called N.      It's known that the dukedom of Naples was hereditary before Sergius I Contardus. (Held by Bono, then Contardo before Sergius I.). Sergius I Contardus, Duke of Naples was born circa 803. He was the son of Contardo, Duca di Napoli.² Sergius I Contardus, Duke of Naples married Drosu (?) before 833.³ Sergius I Contardus, Duke of Naples was living between 840 and 864.³
