Andrew Bryson, 87, Dies On Cullasaja
Andrew Matt Bryson, 87, wellknown farmer of the Cullasaja section died Saturday evening at 7 o'clock in the Baptist Hospital at Winston-Salem. Death was caused by pneumonia. He had been ill on month.
A native of Macon county, Mr. Bryson was married to Miss Amanda Crisp, who died a number of years ago. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist church where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Frank Holland officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Surviving are two sons, Frank H. and Fred R. of Cullasaja and an number of grandchildren. Parents: Andrew Madison BRYSON Sr. and Jane Caroline PEEK.

Rites in Calif; Was Widow of Rufus Henry
Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Jane (Jenny) Henry, 85, in a hospital in Fairfield, calif., Wednesday of ____________________ several months.
Mrs. Henry was a native of the Higdonville section of Macon County, and was a daughter of the late J.K. and Mrs. Margarte Higdon Bryson. She was married in 1890 to Rufus A. Henry, also of Macon County, who died in 1949. Mrs. Henry had lived in Calif. for 42 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joe Ashear, of Franklin, Mrs. Margaret ?. Caliquiuri and Mrs. Lillie J. Schumacher, both of Vallejo, Calif.; two sons, Rufus R. Henry and James William Henry, of Ojal, Calif.; 15 great grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. J.A. Bryson, of Columbia, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. John D. Moore of Franklin, and Mrs. Delia Briggs, of Rome, Ga..
Services were held Saturday morning in Vallejo and burial was also there. Parents: James Kennedy BRYSON and Margaret "Maggie" HIGDON.
