Setzer and Allied Families by Lawrence Wood, page 79:
- "Note: Uncle Larkin and Aunt Sarah Holbrook lived for several years on Walnut Creek at what was later known as the Charlie Jones place. After this they moved to Otto. Their house was always one of the most beautiful homes in Macon County and the home was filled with love and welcome for the kith and kin. Mother (L. Wood's mother) recalled with nostalgia the many visits she and grandmother Dellener Strain Crisp mad to Uncle Larkin's home and the many meals they enjoyed there. All great grandmother Strain's family were always very close to the Holbrook family. As a child it was always such a pleasure for me to visit the Holbrook family and no relatives will ever be more dearer to me than "Cousin" Annie Oliver Norton and her son Jim Norton. They have done so much to help me with old family records and it always brings back sweet memories of childhood when I visit at Jim's home." Parents: Parker MOORE and Huldah Caroline KILPATRICK.

Personal records of Gerre Byrd, dated January 1998:
- The best "proof" I have for the father/son relationship between J. P. Moore and T. B. Moore is that Teresa = Forkman151@@aol.com found in the REDMON HISTORY by Evelyn Davis that the "children were listed in the old family bible in the order of their ages". She says the edition was printed in 1793 and is
in the possession of (1957) Charlie E. Moore of Gastonia, North Carolina.
1820 - Haywood County., North Carolina - Listed as "More P. TABNER - p. 226.
1830 - Check Rabun County., Georgia for Tavenor
1840 - Macon County., North Carolina - widow, Catherine
Georgia State Archives has record of Tavner B. Moore as Capt. Rabun County. (Militia), 22 SEP 1826 - 17 NOV 1827. (MR 1808-1829 p. 175).
Land records in Rabun County., Georgia indicate "Tanner B. Moore" was transacting in 5th District, 16 Feb 1831. "By Administration" same dist. 27 Oct 1834. (The latter documentation indicating Tavenor had died.) Katherine Moore is transacting 5th dist. 21 MAR 1837.
Tavenor Moore was in War of 1812 - Buncombe County.'s (North Carolina) 3rd Regiment.
Tavenor Moore had a corn mill per Lawrence Wood of Franklin, North Carolina.
Tavenor is supposedly buried Mt. Hope Cemetery at Dahlonega, Lumpkin County., Georgia. This is per Mrs. Vivian Qualls, a descendant.
One descendant claims T.B. Moore came from Ireland as a young kid, escaped kidnappers & hid in hull of ship going to America. This may have happened to one of Tavenor's ancestors, but not to him. (See file on Richard Murphy). The above story has been PROVED to be incorrect. Parents: John Parker MOORE and Millie REDMOND.
