Mr. Rogers
Frank M. Rogers, 70, of Route 9 Franklin, died Friday in a Macon County hospital.
A native of Macon County, he was a son of the late Robert D. and Latisha Higdon Rogers. He was a retired carpenter, veteran of World War II and member of Franklin VFW Post No. 7339.
Surviving are his wife, Iva Lee Hyatt Rogers; a daughter, Retha Rogers Cabe of Waynesville; a son, Stevie Rogers of Franklin; a half-sister, Martha Rogers Gibson of Marietta, Ga.; two brothers, Theodore and Jim Robers, both of Franklin; a half-brother, Harold Rogers of Marietta, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Zion Hill Baptist Church, Jackson County, the church of which he was a member. Officiating ministers were Revs. Eddie Stillwell, John Rogers, and Joe Bishop. Burial was in the church cemetery. The VFW was in charge of graveside services and presented a color guard. Pallbearers were Danny Rogers, Bobby Rogers, Larry Rogers, Green Howard, Greg Young, and Steve B Parents: Robert David ROGERS and Emily Latisha HIGDON.
