Obituary from The Franklin Press, Macon County, North Carolina, dated July 5, 1996:
Mrs. Moore
Mamie Rogers Moore, 96, of Gastonia, died Tuesday, July 2, in Gastonia.
A native of Macon County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie M. Rogers and Louise Hall Rogers. She was prceeeded in death by her husband, Charlie Moore.
She is survive by four daughters, Jean Moore, Mamie Ann Moore and Lena Moore Long, all of Gastonia, and Hester Moore Becker of Sun City West, Ariz., three sisters, Lena Evitt of Cramerton, Annie Stephenson of Gastonia and Gladys Elmore of Franklin; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m . Thursday, July 4, in the Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Ernie Sanders officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Macon funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. Parents: Charles Maden "Charlie" ROGERS and Louise Ann HALL.
