MayBelle Bryant Angel
Franklin - MayBelle Bryant Angel, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, in a local hospital. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Grady Bryant and Minnie Ashe Bryant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ed Angel, who founded Angel Hospital. She was manager of Angel Hospital for several years, attended Cecils Business College and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Martha A. Solesbee; sister, Mary Liles of Shawsville, Va.; granddaughter, Vicky Solesbee; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The Revs. Wayne Allen and Maria Martin will officiate. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the services. Burial will be in Macon County, North Carolina - Woodlawn Cemtery. Pallbearers will be Jack Angel, Dick Angel, Dan Angel, Tommy Angel IV, Johnny Kusterer and Dick Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Bryant, Oscar Ledford, Bob Rollins, Dan Grindstaff and Ruth Angel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 66 Harrison Ave., Franklin, North Carolina 28734. Parents: Grady BRYANT and Minnie ASHE.
