Dies Tuesday-
Rites For Mrs. Bolick Today At Buck Creek

Mrs. Amanda Rogers Bolick, of Highlands, Route 1, a Macon County native and widow of Algie J. Bolick, died Tuesday, January 19, at 6:45 a.m. in a local hospital. She was 81 and had been ill for two months.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bolick are set for today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. at the Buck Creek Baptist Church, of which she had been a member for 65 years. Officiating will be the Rev. Wiley McCall, pastor, and the Rev. Claude Ledford. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the following grandsons serving as pallbearers; Furman and Jimmy Shook, Algie, Odell, and Bobby Bolick, and Michael Houston.
A daughter of the late David and Mrs. Charity Franks Rogers, she was born Aug. 5, 1883. She and Mr. Bolick, also a native of this county were married in 1900. He died in 1919.
Surviving are three sons, Carl A. Bolick, of Franklin, Route 5, Clyde J. Bolick, of Route 2, and Terry H. Bolick, of Highlands, Route 1, two daughters, Mrs. Will Houston, of Highlands, Route 1, and Mrs. Ezra Shock of Franklin; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Bryant Funeral Home.
