Carl A. Bolick
Carl Allen Bolick, 66, of the Walnut Creek Community, died Tuesday, August 22, in C.J. Harris Hospital, Sylva, after a long illness. A native of Macon County, he was a son of the late Alzie and Amanda Rogers Bolick. He was married to the former Miss Eva Rogers, who survives. He was a retired farmer and a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 24, at Buck Creek Baptist Church and burial was in the church cemetery. Officiating ministers were the Rev. Andy Cloer and the Rev. Eldon Owens and pallbearers were Wayne Bowers, Jackie West, Michael Houston, Sammie Bolick, Jimmy Shook and Furman Peek.
Surviving, in addition to the wife are six sons, Odell, Ellard, Bobby and Marvin Bolick, all of Franklin, and Lloyd and Willard Bolick of Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Bowers, of Franklin, and Mrs. Annalee Masseggee, of Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Clyde and Perry Bolick, of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Houston, of Highlands, and Mrs. Lorene Shook, of Franklin; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Neal and Potts Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Parents: Algie J. BOLICK and Amanda ROGERS.
