WILTZ
In the registers of the parish church of Mobile, on May 30, 1735, Lorentz Conrad WILTZ, master woodworker.
Swiss soldier of Esnac, son of Jean WILTZ, master woodworker, and of Christine FRANCQUE, married
Marie Anne COLON, born in Mobile, daughter of deceased Jean COLON and Marguerite PRAUX, residents
of Mobile.

Included among the papers of J Hanno DEILER (MSS 395), which are deposited in the Manuscript Section
of the Historic New Orleans Collection, family history researchers will find in Folder No 14 copies of correspondence,
which DEILER received from the Lutheran priest at Eisenach. On September 18, 1702, at Eisenach, were
married Johann Diedrich WILTZ, cabinet maker, and Christina Sophia FRANCK(IN)*. Of this marriage, the
priest found baptisms of two children:

1. Lorentz Conrad WILTZEN was baptized on August 16, 1705 at Eisenach*
2. Johann Ludwig WILTZEN was baptized on July 16, 1711 at Eisenach*

Roger,

According to Stephen White, Francoise Comeaux, wife of Charles
Thibodeaux,
was born about 1693 and married in 1715. Catherine-Louise was born abt
1741.
Francoise would have been 48 in 1741 - this is old even by Acadian
standards.

The ADNO and the SWLR document that Olivier, bn between 1728-1732 and
Amand,
bn 1734 were the sons of Charles and Francoise Comeaux. The 1766
census
record shows Marie Gotreau, orphan, age 5 and it is logical to conclude
that
Louise, bn 1735-1736, was a sister of Amand.

Marguerite Trahan, wife of Paul Thibodeaux, was born about 1714 and
married
in 1735. Marie Thibodeaux, who married Jean-Baptiste Semer, was born
about
1737 and Catherine-Louise was born abt 1741. Paul and Marguerite Trahan
also
had a daughter, Elisabeth, bn abt 1738-39, and a daughter, Anne, bn
1743.
Elisabeth was married first to Charles Pellerin and then to Joseph
Martin
and Anne was married to Francois Savoie and both were at Attakapas.

Chronologically, it seems more likely that Catherine-Louise was the
daughter
of Paul and Marguerite Trahan rather than Charles and Francoise
Comeaux.
