thus Charles Gaudet's brother and Antoine Gaudet's son.
ii. The godmother of Marie's son Jean Belliveau was Marie-Josephe
Gaudet (Rg Bbn 29 Dec 1747). It would appear that this was the child's
maternal aunt, who later became Abraham Poirier's wife.2

" One of these errors concerns the Guerin family. In the deposition of
Claude Pitre, it is said that the ancestors of the Acadian Guerins were
named Jerome Guerin and Marie Blanchard. But it was instead Fran<;ois
Guerin and Anne Blanchard who were the forbears of this family in Acadia.1
