Stanley LeBlanc 4:17pm Jan 7 I recently purchased the book History of Avoyelles Parish by Corinne L. Saucier, M.A. It is full of valuable genealogy information on the early Pointe Coupee lines that went to Avoyelles and then later to Opelousas/Attakapas. It also has solved the date and location of the death of Charles D'Amour [D'Amour or Louviere D'Amour] - he died in Avoyelles Parish the night of or the night before Nov. 12, 1793! before 1824 - ref: see J.B.
