Annie Fay Hartzog Blackburn, 85, was remembered at funeral services held Aug. 21 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tom Graybeal and Rev. Roger Newton officiated. A graveside service was held at the Hartzog Cemetery Aug. 22.
Mrs. Blackburn was born in Ashe County to Charles and Dorothy Phillips Hartzog. She was a member of Pine Swamp Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Linney Blackburn, West Jefferson; two sons, Howard Dean Blackburn and his wife, Lynelle, Idlewild, and Dr. Thomas Charles Blackburn and wife, Dr. Katherine Bell, Chapel Hill; two grandsons, Ronald Dean and wife, Maria Blackburn, Clemmons, and Philip Owen Blackburn, Winston-Salem; four great-grandchildren, Heather Anne and Kristian Owen Blackburn, Pfaffton, Dylan Evan and Chad Edward Blackburn, Clemmons; and several nieces and nephews.
Badger Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
