Note* Magdaleine Broussard BG asked additional questions on Michael Conover's book "Descendents of
Francois Broussard and Catherine Richard". The book was published in 1994 and
Conover did not mention Madeleine Broussard's first marriage to Jean-Baptiste
Landry.

However, Joe Hebert pointed out that Stephen White p 1388 confirms that the
parents of Madeleine Broussard are Jean-Baptiste Broussard and Cecile Babin,
but that Conover is mistaken in her marriage. Madeleine married 19 Nov 1753
Francois Richard, son of Pierre Richard and Marie-Madeleine Girouard.
Arsenault also has this on p. 473.

We do know a Madeleine Broussard married Olivier Thibodeaux and there is
evidence of an earlier marriage to Jean-Baptiste Landry. However, the parents
of Madeleine and Jean-Baptiste are uncertain.

Could the Madeleine who married Jean-Baptiste Landry and Olivier Thibododeaux
be the daughter of Pierre Broussard and Marguerite Bourg, born in Port
Toulouse about 1726 (Stephen White p. 288). I have run out of all other
possibilites.
