      Deed Book J, p.624-625: Campbell Co. GA; In the name of God, Amen. I, J.V. Brown of said county and state, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me.
      Item first. I give and bequeath and devise to my wife Elizabeth Brown, one third of my effects both real and personal property; ten acres of Lot land no. 11; no. 12, 135 acres; no. 13, 60 acres, being and lying in the 9 District of originally Fayett, now Campbell County. Lots lands of no. 48 and 49, containing 95 acres, it being and lying in Campbell County Fairburn district; and all other property that is now belonging to me.
      Item second. I give and bequeath and devise to my son Luther A. Brown, one third of the above specified property, also to my daughter Exer Ellen Landrum one third of the above specified property, all held together until they all see proper to make and [sic] division in said property.
      I further will that this my will and testament is not to be returned to court but be recorded in the Clerk's office. I further will that my last expenses be paid out of the above specified property, after which, and [sic] equal division be made between them. I further say that my farther [sic] in law, and my mother in law, occupy the house that they are now in, also a garden and truck patch they have at this time.       Item fourth, I hereby constitute and appoint Elizabeth Brown, Luther A. Brown, and C.F. Landrum executors of this my last will and testament. This January 21st 1888.

      Applied from Campbell Co. GA. Pvt. in Capt. Greer's GA Vol. Creek War. Applied Dec 21, 1892; enlisted in Columbus, GA, June 6, 1836; honorably discharged Sept. 2nd, 1836. Bounty Land Warrant #12454 for 120 acres issued March 3, 1855. He was 24 years old when he enlisted; 6 feet tall, blue eyes, black hair, dark complexion and a farmer; he was born Edgefield Co., SC; resided in Coweta Co. GA 16 years; resided in Campbell Co. GA 40 years. Married Caroline Brock on Sept. 15, 1835 at Coweta Co. GA and she died in Oct 1852; he remarried to Nancy C. Thompson.
      Widow Nancy applied for pension Jan 22, 1898; she was 68 yrs. old. She stated she married Samuel W. Dunkin Feb. 1, 1854 at Carrol Co. GA by James R. ?? MG. and her name was Nancy C. Thompson, that his first wife was Caroline Brock who died 13 Nov 1852; that her husband died Feb 16 1897 at Monk, Campbell Co. GA.
      William P. Dunkin age 56 and Julia A. Dunkin aged 53 of Tell, Campbell Co. GA, swore they had known Nancy Dunkin for 43 years and that Samuel and Nancy lived together as husband and wife from 1854-1897 and had 8 children, 6 of whom are now living. Dated 8 March 1897; wit. by J.A. Dunkin and J.F. Beavers.
      In this pension application is a certification by the Ordinary of Campbell Co. GA., R.C. Beavers, that he, Mr. Beavers, copied from the family bible the family info. enclosed in the pension application. It is as follows:

GA; they further state that S.W. Dunkin died Feb 11, 1897 in Monk, Campbell Co. GA, and that he was buried in Enon Church Cemetery, Campbell Co. GA. They state they are children of S.W. Duncan and Caroline Duncan. Dated 8 March 1897.
