     Seemingly of French origin on her father's side, and English colonial based on her given name, and in America at this early date, she was most likely of Hugenot and English extraction. What is a French girl doing in a Quaker meeting? Her mother was most likely English. A De La Fosse family appears in a book of London Wills circa 1644, and there is a medieval court case in Somerset involving a De La Fosse. Also called Hope Delefaste.1 Hope de La Fosse was born circa 1666 at Woodbury, Gloucester County, New Jersey.2 She married John Wills of Burlingham, son of Doctor Daniel Wills of Northampton and Elizabeth (?), on 6 December 1682 at the Meeting House, Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey; His 1st.3

John Woolstone of Mansfield1,2

     John Woolstone of Mansfield was a Quaker.3 He was the progenitor of the Woolston family in America.4 "The name of John Woolstan occurs among the Friends in England who suffered persecution for religious opinions. His house was the first erected in Burlington, and in it, the first monthly meeting of Friends was held after their arrival."5 He was a worthy citizen, and the ancestor of numerous and respectable descendants.3 Also called John Woolstan.6 Also called John Woolston.4 He was born circa 1651?. He married Hannah Cooper, daughter of William Cooper of Coleshill and Margaret (?), in 1681; His 2nd.4,7,8 John Woolstone of Mansfield was a witness where Isaac Horner of Northampton witness to the will of John Woolston of Mansfield on 12 May 1698 at Burlington County, New Jersey.9 John Woolstone of Mansfield left a will on 12 May 1698 at Mansfield, Burlington County, New Jersey; Wolston, John, of Mansfield, Burlington Co; will of. “My now wife” Hannah. Children – Jonathan, Samuel, Hanah, Mary, Sarah, Rebeckah, Elizabeth. Real and personal estate. The wife sole executrix with John Day and Joseph Cooper of Newtown as overseers. Witnesses – William Cooper, Elizabeth Day and Isaac Horner.2 His estate was probated on 27 February 1699/0.2
