Edmund, styled "Crouchback," 1st Earl of Lancaster was deprived of his Sicilian Kingdom when Pope Urban nullified the investure of Pope Alexander IV and offered the Kingdom instead to Charles of Anjou before May 1265.⁴ He was a witness where Manfred von Staufen, King of Naples and Sicily negotiated with the new pope, Urban IV, but this came to nothing; and Urban, considering Alexander IV's agreement with England void, offered the Sicilian crown to Charles of Anjou before May 1265.³ Earl of Derby at England on 12 July 1265.² Edmund, styled "Crouchback," 1st Earl of Lancaster was created Earl of Derby by his father on 12 July 1265.² He had a charter to him and the heirs of his body of the honour of Leicester and of all the lands held by Simon, Earl of Leicester, and although not called Earl of that county, became Earl of Leicester on 26 October 1265.⁵ 7th Earl of Leicester between 1265 and 1296.⁶ He was created Earl of Lancaster by his father on 30 June 1267.^2,4 1st Earl of Lancaster at England on 30 June 1267.² He married his first wife in the newly rebuilt Westminster Abbey on 9 April 1269.⁴ He married Aveline de Fortibus, daughter of William de Forez, 6th Earl of Aumale and Isabel de Reviers, on 9 April 1269 at Westminster Abbey, England; His 1st. s.p.⁴ Edmund, styled "Crouchback," 1st Earl of Lancaster was a witness where Nicholas FitzMartin given custody, by Edmund, the King's son, of the castles and counties of Carmarthen and Cardigan in 1271 at Wales.⁷ Edmund, styled "Crouchback," 1st Earl of Lancaster became, in right of his second wife, Count of Champagne and Brie in 1276 at France.⁸ Count of Champagne and Brie at France between 1276 and 5 June 1296.⁴ He married Blanche d' Artois, daughter of Robert I, comte d' Artois and Mahaud de Brabant, between 27 July 1276 and 29 October 1276; His 2nd. He died while besieging Bordeaux.⁸ He was the predecessor of Thomas, styled "of Lancaster," 2nd Earl of Lancaster; 8th Earl of Leicester.⁶ Edmund, styled "Crouchback," 1st Earl of Lancaster was the predecessor of Thomas, styled "of Lancaster," 2nd Earl of Lancaster; 2nd Earl of Lancaster.¹¹ Edmund, styled "Crouchback," 1st Earl of Lancaster was buried in Westminster Abbey, England.⁸

     Floris V "der Keerlen God", Graaf van Holland also went by the name of Floris "the God of the Commoners".³ Also called Count Florent V of Holland. He was the successor of Willem II, Graaf van Holland; 14th Count of Holland.¹ Floris V "der Keerlen God", Graaf van Holland was born in July 1254 at Leiden, Holland, the Netherlands.^3,4 He was the son of Willem II, Graaf van Holland and Elisabeth von Braunschweig.^1,2 15th Count of Holland between 28 January 1256 and 1296.¹ Floris V "der Keerlen God", Graaf van Holland married Beatrix van Vlaanderen in 1269.² Floris V "der Keerlen God", Graaf van Holland was one of thirteen possible successors, as the 6th great-grandson of Duncan I, of the late Queen Margaret of Scotland, between 1290 and 1292.¹ Competition for the Scottish Crown, which John de Baliol won, Robert Bruce was runner-up, decided by Edward I of England. Between 26 September 1290 and 17 November 1292.⁵ He died on 27 June 1296 at Muiderberg at age 41 years and 11 months. He was seized and murdered by several Dutch nobles after ending his long friendly relations with Edward I of England and making an alliance with France, at the urging of his cousin, John of Avesnes.^1,3,4 He was the predecessor of Jean II, comte de Hainaut et Hollande; 16th Count of Holland.

     Hugues, comte de Brienne & de Liches was born in 1236.⁴ He was the son of Gauthier IV "le Grand", comte de Brienne and Marie de Chypre.^2,3 Hugues, comte de Brienne & de Liches accompanied Charles of France on the conquest of the Kingdom of Naples in 1269.¹ He married Isabelle de la Roche, daughter of Guido I de la Roche, Groß-Herzog von Athen, Herr von Theben, in 1270; Her 2nd.^1,5 Hugues, comte de Brienne & de Liches died on 8 August 1296 at age 60 years. He was killed in battle.⁶

     Also called Elena. Helen de Quincy was born after 1228 at Winchester, Hampshire, England.² She was the daughter of Roger, 2nd Earl of Winchester and Helen of Galloway. Helen de Quincy married Alan, Lord Zouche, of Ashby, son of Roger la Zouche, Sheriff of Devonshire and Margaret (?), before 1242 at Winchester, Hampshire, England.³ Helen de Quincy died before 20 August 1296 at England.³

     William de Botreaux of Boscastle was of Boscastle at Cornwall, England.¹ He was of Babington at Somerset, England.¹ He was born say 1232. He was the son of Reginald de Botreaux of Boscastle.¹ William de Botreaux of Boscastle was granted, by King Edward I, to William de Botereus, charters for for a fair (vfm, Margaret the Virgin - 20 Jul) 'To be held at the manor' at Babington on 7 October 1285 at Somerset, England.¹ He died before 25 August 1296.¹

      Robert (de Vere), 5th Earl of Oxford, Hereditary Master Chamberlain of England was born circa 1240.³ He was the son of Hugh (de Vere), 4th Earl of Oxford and Hawise de Quincy.⁴ Robert (de Vere), 5th Earl of Oxford, Hereditary Master Chamberlain of England married Alice de Sanford, daughter of Gilbert de Sanford and Lora la Zouche.⁵ Writs of 1264. Summons to Parliament called by the Earl of Leicester, in the King's name, all the while holding the King prisoner. Five Earls included. On 24 December 1264.⁶ Robert (de Vere), 5th Earl of Oxford, Hereditary Master Chamberlain of England was summoned to the Earl of Leicester's Parliament by writ directed "Comiti Oxon'" on 24 December 1264.⁶ Summons writs - recorded "- merely -" on the Welsh Rolls and ignored by Dugdale. Includes 11 Earls and 99 others "who must, if the writs be good, be accounted as Barons." In 1283.² Earl of Oxford at England in 1283.² He was summoned by writ directed "Roberto de Veer Comiti Oxon'" in 1283.² He was returned as a Member of Parliment between 1295 and 1296. He died on 2 September 1296.^1,4

     Évèque de Metz Bouchard d' Avesnes was born in 1251.¹ He was the son of Jean I, comte de Hainaut and Adelaide van Holland.¹ Évèque de Metz Bouchard d' Avesnes died on 29 November 1296 at age 45 years.¹

     Tomasso I del Vasto, marchese di Saluzzo was born circa 1240.² He was the son of Manfredo III del Vasto, marchese di Saluzzo and Queen Consort Beatrix de Savoie. Margrave of Saluzzo after 1244. Tomasso I del Vasto, marchese di Saluzzo married Aluigia del Vasto, daughter of marchese di Ceva Giorgio I del Vasto and Menzia (?), in 1258.¹ Tomasso I del Vasto, marchese di Saluzzo died on 3 December 1296.¹

     Warin de Lisle was born circa 1252?. He was the son of Sir Robert de Lisle Knt. and Mable de Muscegros.¹ Warin de Lisle was ordered to pay 100 marks owing to his father's debt to the Crown by yearly installment of 20 marks on 1 January 1284/85.¹ He married Alice de Montfort, daughter of Sir Piers de Montfort of Beaudesert and Maud de la Mare, circa 1287?² Warin de Lisle was going to Gascony as yeoman of Thomas Latimer of Warden in 1294.¹ He was made his claim to the inheritance of Isabel de Forz, Countess of Aumale, daughter of Baldwin, Earl of Devon, in 1294.¹ He witnessed (or was recognized by) the probate of the estate of Isabel de Reviers; Warin de Lisle, d. 1296, was found to be one of her heirs.² Warin de Lisle died before 7 December 1296.¹

     Thibaud II, comte de Bar was the successor of Henri II, comte de Bar; Comte de Bar, Seigneur de Ligny.¹ Thibaud II, comte de Bar was born circa 1220. He was the son of Henri II, comte de Bar and Philippa, dame de Torcy-en-Brie.¹ Count of Bar at Lorraine between 1240 and 1296. Thibaud II, comte de Bar married Jeanne de Dampierre, daughter of Guillaume II, seigneur de Dampierre & de S. Dizier and Margareta II, comtesse de Hainaut et Flandre, in 1243; Her 2nd.² Thibaud II, comte de Bar married Jeanne de Toucy in 1266; His 2nd.² Thibaud II, comte de Bar died in 1297.^3,4

     Sir Ralph de Gorges Knt., of Litton and Wraxall was of Litton and Wraxall at England.¹ He was governor of the castles of Sherburne and Exeter.² He was born circa 1226?. (1256/57) In the 41st Henry III, had a military summons to march against the Welsh.³ He married Elena de Moreville, daughter of John de Moreville and N. N. de Wrokeshale.³ Sir Ralph de Gorges Knt., of Litton and Wraxall attended Prince Edward to the Holy Land in 1270.² (1269/70) In the 54th Henry III, had a military summons to the war in Wales.² He died circa 1272. He died two years later.² Arms: Argent, a gurge azure.⁴ He died in 1297.⁴

     Isabelle de Beaujeu was born circa 1220?. She was the daughter of Humbert V, sire de Beaujeu, connétable de France and dame de Miribel Marguerite de Baugé.² Isabelle de Beaujeu married comte de Semur Simon II de Semur in 1240; Her 1st.² Isabelle de Beaujeu married Renaud I, comte de Forez, son of Guiges IV, comte de Forez et de Nevers and Mahaud de Dampierre, in November 1247; Her 2nd.² Isabelle de Beaujeu died in 1297.¹

     Friedrich III, Burggraf von Nürnberg was born circa 1250. He married Helene of Saxony, daughter of Albrecht, Duke of Saxony and Helene von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, before 10 April 1280; His 2nd. Her 2nd (widow).^1,2 Friedrich III, Burggraf von Nürnberg died in 1297.¹

     Teodora d’Aquino was born circa 1226?. She was the daughter of Landolfo, Signore di Roccasecca and Teodora d’Aquino.¹ Teodora d’Aquino married Ruggero, 3° Conte di Marsico, Signore di Sanseverino, son of Tommaso, Signore di Sanseverino, 1° Conte di Marsico and Perna de Morra, between 1246 and 1256.¹ Teodora d’Aquino died between 1297 and 1317.¹

     Prince d' Achaïe Florent d' Avesnes was born in 1255.¹ He was the son of Jean I, comte de Hainaut and Adelaide van Holland.¹ Prince d' Achaïe Florent d' Avesnes died on 23 January 1297 at age 42 years.¹

     Sir John Maltravers Knt. was born circa 1241 at England.² He was the son of John Maltravers of Sumerford and Cotes.¹ Sir John Maltravers Knt. was seneschal of the king's household in 1274.¹ He was going to Ireland in July 1280.³ He was summoned for military service against the Welsh in October 1294.³ He died before 28 February 1296/97.¹

     Jutta von Habsburg was born on 13 March 1271 at Rheinfelden.² She was the daughter of Rudolf I, Römischer König and Gertrud von Hohenberg.¹ Jutta von Habsburg married Wenceslas II, King of Bohemia, son of Premysl Ottokar II, King of Bohemia and Kunigunde von Kiew, on 21 January 1285; His 1st.^1,2 Jutta von Habsburg died on 21 June 1297 at Prague at age 26 years, 3 months and 8 days.²

He was the son of William, 5th Earl of Mar and Elizabeth Comyn.¹ Donald, 6th Earl of Mar married Helen of North Wales, daughter of Llywelyn ein Llyw Olaf ap Gruffydd, Tywysog Cymru.¹ 6th Earl of Mar circa 1266.³ Donald, 6th Earl of Mar died after 25 July 1297.⁴

      Roger, Lord Mowbray was son and heir of Roger de Mowbray of the Isle of Axholme, co. Lincoln (by Maud, daughter and co-heir of William de Beauchamp), and grandson of William de Mowbray, Surety Baron for the Magna Carta.¹ Also called Lord Mowbray, 1st of Axholme. He was born circa 1254 at Axholme, Lincolnshire, England. The eldest son.² He was the son of Roger de Mowbray and Maud de Beauchamp of Bedford.¹ Roger, Lord Mowbray married Rohese de Clare, daughter of Richard (de Clare), 5th Earl of Gloucester and Hertford and Maud de Lacy, circa 1270.^2,3 Roger, Lord Mowbray made proof of his age and had livery of his lands in 1277/78 at 6 Edward I.⁴ 1st Lord Mowbray between 1282 and 1297.^5,1 He was summoned this year with the other Peers of the Realm in the Parliament held at Shrewsbury on 1 January 1282/83 at 11 Edward I.¹ He was further summoned to Parliaments between 1284 and 1297 at 12 to 25 Edward I.¹ Arms: Gules, a lion rampant argent.⁶ Parliament Summons by King Edward I on 8 June 1294.⁵ Roger was summoned to parliament by Edward I "Longshanks", King of England on 8 June 1294 as 1st Baron Mowbray of Axholme (considered the most senior Baron).⁵ Roger, Lord Mowbray was buried in Fountains Abbey. He died before 21 November 1297 at Ghent, Flanders.¹ Roger, Lord Mowbray was buried in Fountains Abbey.¹ He was the first of the family to whom a writ of summons to Parliment is now on record.¹

     Princess Eleanor was born circa 1270. She was the daughter of Edward I "Longshanks", King of England and Eleanor, infante de Castille.¹ Princess Eleanor married Henri III, comte de Bar, son of Thibaud II, comte de Bar and Jeanne de Toucy, circa 1290. Princess Eleanor died in 1298.¹
