Roby Eugene Rash, 79, was remembered at funeral services held Dec. 9 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Rev. Larry Powers and Rev. Lloyd Day officiated. Burial followed in Ashe County, North Carolina - Ashe Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson.
Mr. Rash was born in Ashe County to the late Roby Eugene and Bonnie Elizabeth Latham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Hazel Latham Rash; and a son, Bobby Brant Rash.
He is survived by three sons, Roy Rash, West Jefferson, Thomas Jack Rash, Lansing, and James Rash, Crumpler; three daughters, Joyce Bledsoe and Judy Holman, both of Lansing, and Kathy Worley, Crumpler; two brothers, Willis Rash, Creston, and Fred Rash, Lenoir; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International, PO Box 993, West Jefferson, North Carolina 28694 or to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
