He married CLARA ANN ARMSTRONG 17 September 1885, daughter of ALFRED ARMSTRONG and ABIGAIL WOODRING.

He married ELEONORA MAGDELENA HELFF 28 December 1914, daughter of JOSEPH HELFF and KATHERINE FREIBERGER.
