Third Generation
The son of (2)-Nancy (Hill) and (2B)-William Atkinson. We are without information on
him except that there was an Atkinson living in Hutchinson, Kansas and who died there about 1905. He was a
cousin of (41)-Enoch Hill (my father) who attended the funeral. As we have no records of any brothers it
seems certain that this was (17)-George Atkinson.
(18)-ROXIE MELVINA ATKINSON
Third Generation
The daughter of (2)-Nancy (Hill) and (2B)- William Atkinson. She was born in West
Virginia, neither the date or exact place are known. The only other information we have concerning her is
that she married (18A)- John C. Thomas.
(19)-VIRGINIA ATKINSON
Third Generation
The daughter of (2)-Nancy (Hill) and (2B)-William Atkinson. She was born in West
Virginia. We do not have the date nor exact place of her birth or other information concerning her except
that she married (19A)-Lorenza Buck.

The son of (3)-Alcy (Hill) and (3A)- John Jividen. He was born in or near Putnam
County, West Virginia and continued to live in this section and that is all the information we have
concerning him.

County, West Virginia and continued to live in this section and that is all the information we have

They had five children, three boys and two girls. We do not have the names of these children or any
further information concerning the family.
*This name should be Atkinson, not Adkinson as we have it on
pages 14 and 20.
**Later information indicates this name should be Hase not May nor Mays, as we
have it on page 15.

The son of (4A)-Olive (Hase) and (4)-William Hill. He was born in or near Putnam
County, West Virginia. He grew to manhood in this section and married (28A)- Liddia Parsons. They bad
nine children, five sons and four daughters. We have no further records of the family.
(29)-SARAH HILL

The daughter of (4A)-Olive (Hase) and (4)-William Hill She was born in or near Putnam
County, West Virginia. She grew to womanhood in this section and married (29A)-Abraham Kessel. They bad
seven children, two sons and five daughters. We have no further record of the family.
(30)-DANIEL HILL
Third Generation
The son of (4A)-Olive (Hase) and (4)-William Hill. He was born in West Virginia,
probably Putnam County. He grew to man�hood in this section and married. The identity of his, first wife
is not known. They had two daughters. His second wife was (30B)-Mary Bais. They had six children, three
sons and three daughters. We have no further record of the family.
(31)-SAMUEL THOMAS HILL
Third Generation
The son of (4A)-Olive (Hase) and (4)-William Hill. He was born in Putnam County, West
Virginia September 27, 1842. He married (31A)-Mary Jane Garnes and engaged In farming. He died
September 10, 1885. They had eight children:

(32)-JAMES (Jim) HILL
Third Generation
The son of (4A)-Olive (Hase) and (4)-William Hill. He was born in Putnam County,
West Virginia. He never married. In his early manhood he had the misfortune of being drowned in the Ohio
River in the 1860's.
(33)-MARY HILL
Third Generation
The daughter of (4A)-Olive (Hase) and (4)-William Hill. She was born in Putnam County,
West Virginia and grew to womanhood in this section. She never married.
(34)-ELLEN HILL
Third Generation
The only child of (4B)-Margaret (Johnson) and (4)-William Hill. She was born in Putnam
County, West Virginia. She grew to womanhood in this section and married (34A)-Charley Harris. They had
three children all of whom are now (1943) dead.
(35)-ALZINA (Zine) HILL
Third Generation
The first child of (5A)-Rebecca (Woodruff) and (5)-Labon Hill. She was born in Jackson
County near Rockcastle, West Virginia, apparently in 1830. She grew to womanhood in this locality and
married (35A)- John Wesley Sayre. They had two boys:

(131)-Daniel Boone (Coon), date of birth not known.
After the early death of John Wesley Sayre, Alzina Hill Sayre married (35B)- Joshua
Shinn. About 1876 they bought the (5)-Labon Hill home place, then owned by (41)-Enoch Hill who was moving
to Kansas. They had six children:

The second child of (5A)-Rebecca (Woodruff) and (5)-Labon Hill. She was born in Jackson
County near Rockcastle, West Virginia, October 1, 1832. She grew to womanhood here and married (36A)-David
Sayre, a farmer. She died March 10, 1872 at the early age of 39 years, 5 months and 9 days. She is buried
in the Sayre cemetery on the David Sayre. home place. We went to considerable trouble to visit her grave
to get the dates of her birth and death. They had five children:

(140)-Minerva Jane, born February 26, 1859.

Third Generation
The third child of (5A)-Rebecca (Woodruff) and (5)-Labon Hill. She was born on the
farm called Chestnut Orchard near Rockcastle West Virginia, August 9, 1835. She grew to Woman�hood here
and married (37 A)-John W. Barnett, November 2, 1856. They had two children:

(143)-Millard F. born December 21, 1857.
(144)-David Von. born May 3, 1859.
John W. Barnett died August 19, 1859. About 1864 the widow (Roxie Ann) married
(37B)-Hugh M. Donnelly, a stone cutter. They lived at Rockcastle, West Virginia.
They had six children:

(146)- John, born August 31, 1869.
(147)-Ottmer, born July 15, 1871.
(148)-Hugh Parker (Chine), born August 16, 1873.
(149)-Clara, born November 21, 1875.
(150)-Levena, born December 8, 1877.
Hugh M. Donnelly died September 20, 1882 and the widow married (37C)-Lemuel Harpold.
Roxie Ann Hill died January 29, 1906 and is buried at Foster Chapel, West Virginia.
