(1) Saphrona Lewis, who was b. December 05, 1821 in New York, and d. July 27, 1871 in Chickasaw, Chickasaw Co, Iowa.

John and Saphrona raised the following children:

Phebe D. Norwood was b. February 14, 1846 in New York, and d. September 13, 1903 in Clearwater, Antelope Co, NE.  On April 15, 1868 in Chickasaw, Chickasaw Co, IA, she m. John L. McKim, who was b. August 20, 1839 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co, IN, and d. April 18, 1918 in Clearwater, Antelope Co, NE.  (Step or Foster child)

Richard H. Norwood was b. April 05, 1852 in Hancock, Delaware Co, NY, and d. aft 1920 possibly in Pleasant View, Cherokee Co, KS.  On November 25, 1880 in Clearwater, Antelope Co, NE, he m. Amelia F. Grow, who was b. abt. August 1861 in Ohio and d. bet. 1900 - 1910 in Antelope Co, NE.

Sally Ann Norwood was b. March 15, 1854 in Hancock, Delaware Co, NY, and d. bet. 1910 - 1920 in Antelope Co, NE.  In abt. 1874, she m. Elijah Luther, who was b. January 25, 1847 in Missouri and d. May 09, 1935 in Clearwater, Antelope Co, NE.

Lois Laura Norwood was b. July 04, 1856 in Hancock, Delaware Co, NY, and d. March 22, 1926 in Clearwater, Antelope Co, NE.  On February 21, 1874 in Charles City, Floyd Co, IA, she m. Isaac L. Miller, who was b. December 26, 1846 in New York, and d. September 17, 1913 in Clearwater, Antelope Co, NE.

Andrew Herbert Norwood was b. December 29, 1859 in Hancock, Delaware Co, NY, and d. October 05, 1936 in Oakdale, Antelope Co, NE.  On August 18, 1883 in Antelope Co, NE, he m. Loretta Wildermuth, who was b. August 19, 1866 in Richland Co, WI, and d. March 09, 1959 in Oakdale, Antelope Co, NE.

Wilson "Wilks" Cornelius Norwood was b. March 24, 1862 in Hancock, Delaware Co, NY, and d. November 03, 1913, in Antelope Co, NE.  On December 04, 1889 in Neligh, Antelope Co, NE, he m. Laura Adaline Wyman, who was b. March 30, 1870 in New York, and d. April 04, 1958 in Ewing, Holt Co, NE.

Louis Norwood was b. May 12, 1867 in Chickasaw, Chickasaw Co, Iowa, and d. Jan 27, 1930 in Roseburg, Douglas Co, OR.  On March 12, 1898 in Watertown, Jefferson Co, NY, he m. (1) Elizabeth Anne Adams (Schermerhorn), who was b. abt. July 1858 in Canada, and d. June 20, 1915 in Los Angeles, CA.  On August 4, 1928 in Douglas Co, OR, he m. (2) Myrtle Smith, who was b. abt 1877 in Kansas and d. aft. 1930 possibly in Roseburg, Douglas Co, OR.

On September 2, 1887 in Neligh, Antelope Co, NE, John m. (2) Ruth Margaret Ward, who was b. April 01, 1850 in Ontario, Canada, and d. January 24, 1911 in Clearwater, Antelope Co, NE, the daughter of Marcine Ward and Rachel Babcock.  They raised the following children:

Frances I. Norwood was b. abt. June 1882 in Adair Co, IA, and d. aft. 1930 possibly in Seattle, King Co, WA.  In abt. 1904 she m. Frank J. Palmer, who was b. abt. 1872 in Nebraska, and d. April 7, 1948 in Seattle, King Co, WA.  (Step-child)

Fred Norwood was b. January 26, 1890 in Clearwater, Antelope Co, NE, and d. May 06, 1935 in Springview, Keya Paha Co, NE.  On October 21, 1916 in Butte, Boyd Co, NE, he m. Maude Irene Black, who was b. October 11, 1899 in Bone Creek (Octavia), Butler Co, NE, and d. January 10, 1999 in Sheridan, Sheridan Co, WY.
