George Washington Norwood was b. abt. January 1852 in Essex Co, NJ, and d. December 03, 1903 in David City, Butler Co, NE.  On July 11, 1874 in Blairstown, Benton Co, IA, he m. Mary A. Drebert, who was b. August 06, 1856 in Pennsylvania, and d. July 15, 1919 in Lynch, Boyd Co, NE.  They had the following children:

Alice Norwood was b. June 01, 1874 in Iowa, and d. abt 1948 in Bellows Falls, Windham Co, VT.  In abt 1888, possibly in Douglas Co, SD, she m. Dave Taylor, who was b. abt 1866 in Vermont, and d. abt 1908.

Clara Elizabeth Norwood was b. August 09, 1877 in Humphrey, Platte Co, NE, and d. October 13, 1953 in Inglewood, Los Angeles Co, CA.  On August 13, 1893 in Olivet, Hutchinson Co, SD she m. (1) Charles Dale Allen, who d. abt. 1895.  On July 06, 1897 in Butte, Boyd Co, NE, she m. (2) Levi T. Johns, who was b. September 18, 1867 in Hawarden, Sioux Co, IA, and d. November 16, 1940 in Inglewood, Los Angeles Co, CA.  They had one known child.

Theodore Cornelius Norwood was b. December 17, 1878 in Humphrey, Platte Co, NE, and d. June 30, 1956 in Genoa, Nance Co, NE.  On November 02, 1901 in Butte, Boyd Co, NE, he m. Laura Christine Mikkelson, who was b. July 11, 1883 in Wisner, Cuming Co, NE, and d. November 10, 1961 in Lynch Boyd Co, NE.  They had eight known children.

Georgia Mae Norwood was b. January 17, 1881 in Humphrey, Platte Co, NE, and d. July 01, 1973 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co, NE.  On August 24, 1897 in Breton, Boyd Co, NE, she m. William H. Pence, who was b. May 30, 1873 in Iowa, and d. abt. June 1955 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co, NE.  They had three known children.

Mamie Norwood was b. October 02, 1882 in Humphrey, Platte Co, NE, and d. abt. 1883 in Humphrey, Platte Co, NE.

Frank Andro Norwood was b. March 31, 1884 in Scotland, Bon Homme Co, SD, and d. February 17, 1946 in Creighton, Knox Co, NE.  On December 25, 1920 in Chreighton, Knox co, NE, he m. Clara Myrle Ehrenberg, who was b. May 25, 1899 in Pleasant Hope, Polk Co, MO, and d. October 08, 1962 in Amarillo, Potter Co, TX.  They had three known children.

Cora Norwood was b. July 14, 1886 in Tripp Co, SD, and d. June 13, 1978 in Willamina, Yamhill Co, OR.   On March 13, 1904 in Butte, Boyd Co, NE, she m. Samuel A. Chambers, who was b. abt. 1879 in Craig, Holt Co, MO, and d. March 21, 1962 in Polk Co, OR.  They had six known children.

Edna Norwood was b. February 23, 1888 in Delmont, Douglas Co, SD and d. abt. 1915 in Inman, Holt Co, NE.  On October 09, 1907 in Butte, Boyd Co, NE, she m. Earl I. Green, who was b. October 12, 1879 in Iowa, and d. abt. July 1958 in Cody, Park Co, WY.

Edward John Norwood was b. October 04, 1889 in Delmont, Douglas Co, SD, and d. January 13, 1958 in David City, Butler Co, NE.  On December 24, 1932 in Papillion, Sarpy Co, NE, he m. Gladys Kingston, who was b. December 21, 1907 in Irwin, Shelby Co, IA, and d. July 17,1993 in Omaha, Douglas Co, NE.

Nellie Norwood was b. November 01, 1891 in Lynch, Boyd Co, NE, and d. June 22, 1901 in Lynch, Boyd Co, NE.

Orpha Norwood was b. July 28, 1894 in Lynch, Boyd Co, NE, and d. July 29, 1976 in Winner, Tripp Co, SD.  On February 12, 1913 in Tripp Co, SD, she m. Patrick W. Daugherty/Dougherty, who was b. April 17, 1885 in Darlington, Lafayette Co, WI, and d. April 22, 1979 in Winner, Tripp Co, SD.  They had four known children.

Nettie Florence Norwood was b. March 22, 1896 in Lynch, Boyd Co, NE, and d. March 09, 1979 in O'Neill, Holt Co, NE.  On February 18, 1912 in Lynch, Boyd Co, NE, she m. David R. Widtfeldt, who was b. January 18, 1889 in Holt Co, NE, and d. June 19, 1955 in O'Neill, Holt Co, NE.  They had two known children.

Maude Norwood was b. July 16, 1898 in Lynch, Boyd Co, NE, and d. January 12, 1922, in Omaha, Douglas Co, NE.  On January 02, 1920, possibly in Spencer, Boyd Co, NE, she m. Clayton Edgar Dawson, who was b. October 13, 1895 in Big Stone City, Grant Co, SD, and d. abt. June 1979 in St. Edward, Boone Co, NE.  They had one known child.


Notes:
I started gathering the above info when I saw that the head of this family, George Norwood, was born in New Jersey.  Since his family was living in a county close to where my great grandfather's family settled in Nebraska, and they were both born in the same state, I thought there might be a connection.  I haven't as yet found any real evidence to support the theory as stated here, but I certainly think it possible that George could be my great grandfather's nephew.

Thought to be a picture of George's sister Sue.  Since there is no Susan listed as a child of who we believe George's parents to be, we're not positive on identity.  And with the loose usage of familial names in the past this could possibly be a sister-in-law instead of a sister.  Or even just someone who grew up with the family who was thought to be close enough to be considered a sister.  More research is needed.  Date and place are unknown.
