We are currently in the process of determining whether John WHITE is the brother of Thomas WHITE (see White family page). It seems very possible. The main evidence is as follows:

"The ancestors and descendants of Francis and Allie White.  William and Mary White, lived in Beaver County, PA.  William was killed in the War of 1812 at Lundy's Lane, Canada [near Niagara Falls].  Mary, 1776-1867, moved to a farm located in Athens County [Ohio] and part in Morgan County with two of the nine children after his tragic death.  John and Sam were the sons who came with her.  She made the trip with a one horse wagon, a cow, some guineas and a small amount of furniture.  The seven children left behind were bound out to work and all trace of them is lost.  John, 1809-1881, married Mary Gardner, 1824-1886, who had been raised by Casper Keifer ..."
