We are currently in the process of determining whether John WHITE is the brother of Thomas WHITE (see White family page). It seems very possible. The main evidence is as follows:John WHITE, b. ca. 1810 at Pennsylvania"The ancestors and descendants of Francis and Allie White. William and Mary White, lived in Beaver County, PA. William was killed in the War of 1812 at Lundy's Lane, Canada [near Niagara Falls]. Mary, 1776-1867, moved to a farm located in Athens County [Ohio] and part in Morgan County with two of the nine children after his tragic death. John and Sam were the sons who came with her. She made the trip with a one horse wagon, a cow, some guineas and a small amount of furniture. The seven children left behind were bound out to work and all trace of them is lost. John, 1809-1881, married Mary Gardner, 1824-1886, who had been raised by Casper Keifer ..." (Vern N.
