During the years of raising their children, their family became known as "The Stice Family Singers" and performed regularly for many county functions including the Armed Services YMCA, hospitals, schools, and charities such as the March of Dimes. She was a gifted arranger and sparkling performer. An avid Bible scholar, Evie was a faithful member of the Newland Street Church of Christ since 1958 where she taught 5th Grade and supported her husband, Glen, with the Education Department. Together they formed the "Sol-Fa Singers" where for over 37 years, she was "Mom" to almost 100 singers. Evie is survived by her husband of 12 years, Winston Bliss. Evie was lovingly supported by her children and Winston's children during her last days. Evie is survived by her daughter, Debbie Smith and her husband, Randy, of Santa Rosa, California; her son, Phil Stice and his wife, Janet, of Manchester, Connecticut; and her brothers, Jerry Ramsey of Sun City, California and David Ramsey of Folsom, California. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Sharon Coburn, Glen Thomas Stice, and Jennifer Stice and seven great-grand children.

On Sept. 13, 1938, she married Wilson Stice in Gainesville. She graduated from Gainesville High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed bridge and played in several bridge clubs.
