at Home of Son
    Mrs. Amanda E. Brewer passed away at het home of her son, O.M. Stice, april
1 at the age of 93 years and 2  months.
    Mrs. Deavers came to Hamlin in 1921 to make her home until about eight
years ago when she went to make her home with her daughter at Eldorado, Okla.
She returned to Hamlin only five months ago.
    Sh was born in Grayson County near Sherman, January 31, 1858 and was
married to D. L. Stice on July 18, 1875.  Mr. Stice died at the age of 35.  To
this union four children were born.  On January t, 1892 , she was married to
Charles E. Brewer, who passed away November 17, 1927.  to this union no children
were born.
    Survivors are one brother, J.M. Deaver of Sherman: one son, O.M. Stice of
Hamlin: two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Scott of Eldorado and Mrs H.C. Purcell of
Sherman and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    Funeral services were conduct ed Monday, april 2 from the First Methodist
Church with Dr. Will C. House officiating.
    Burial was in the East Cemetery with Barrow Funeral Home conducting.
