1.  Stephen Burton; m. Abigail Brenton, daughter of Gov. William
Brenton and Martha Burton, by 1677; 1st wife; m. Elizabeth Winslow,
daughter of Gov. Josiah Winslow and Penelope Pelham, 4 Sep 1684; 2nd
wife; d. 22 Jul 1693.
     He resided at London, England. He resided in 1670 at Boston, MA.
He resided circa 1681 at Bristol, RI.

     Abigail Brenton was born circa 1659. She died in 1684 at Bristol,
RI.
     Known children of Stephen Burton and Abigail Brenton were as
follows:
                 i. Stephen Burton; b. 8 Aug 1677 at Boston, MA.
     2.         ii. Martha Burton, b. 1677/78; m. Capt. Edward Church.
               iii. ___ Burton; b. 16 Oct 1680 at Boston, MA.

     Elizabeth Winslow died on 11 Jul 1735 at Pembroke, MA.
     Known children of Stephen Burton and Elizabeth Winslow were as
follows:
                 i. Penelope Burton; b. 8 Aug 1686 at Bristol, RI.
                ii. Thomas Burton; b. 16 Mar 1692/93 at Bristol, RI; m.
                    Alice Wadsworth, daughter of Elisha Wadsworth and
                    Elizabeth Wiswell, 10 May 1722.
                    He resided at Pembroke, MA.
               iii. Elizabeth Burton.


                          Generation Two

2.  Martha Burton (Stephen1); b. 1677/78; m. Capt. Edward Church, son
of Col. Benjamin Church and Alice Southworth; d. 14 Apr 1750.
     She resided at Bristol, RI.

     Capt. Edward Church was born in 1680. He was a mariner. He was a
Capt in the 5th expedition against French & Indians. He resided at
Bristol, RI. He died in 1706.
