OTHER INFORMATION
Mercer County, was named in honor of General Hugh Mercer, a hero of the American Revolution. Mercer County borders the state of Indiana about 100 miles southwest of Toledo.
Lumbering was a large industry in early years. Today the rich top soil provides for the wealth of agri-business. Celina, the county seat, was the world's largest producer of tables.
Other industries in the county include; plumbing fixtures, bicycles, farm equipment, water tanks, trenching machines, poultry, eggs, dairy products and hogs.
Probate Judge has birth & death records from 1867 to 1908, marriage records from 1830, & probate records from 1829; Clerk of Courts has divorce and civil court records from 1824.
