8. HENRY³ KIBLER (ADAM², HENRY¹) was born September 14, 1785 in Virginia, and died December 14, 1873 in Portage Co., Ohio. He married (1) ELIZABETH SHANK October 10, 1808 in Shenandoah Co., VA, daughter of MARTIN SHANK and CATHARINE ???. She died Bef. 1823. He married (2) BARBARA FRANK October 18, 1823 in Shenandoah Co., VA. She was born April 30, 1800 in Virginia, and died July 26, 1877 in Portage Co., Ohio.

Notes for HENRY KIBLER:
Henry moved to Ohio bu 1828. Here he owned a sawmill and a gristmill. His family seem to have stayed here in Portage Co., many of his descendants are even buried in the same graveyard.

9. JACOB³ KIBLER (ADAM², HENRY¹) was born December 24, 1787 in Virginia, and died October 1865 in Jasper Co., Ill.. He married EVA SOWERS August 20, 1811 in Shenandoah Co., VA. She was born December 22, 1785, and died September 07, 1859 in Jasper Co., Ill..

Notes for JACOB KIBLER:
Although he appears to have still been living in VA. in 1826, by 1830 he was in Trumbull Co., Ohio. He apparently also lived in Henry, Vigo and Rush Co., IN before finally sttling in Jasper Co., ILL. He appears to be the first of this clan to have settled in Jasper, purchasing land there in 1837.

This family and it's descendants seem to all have come to Jasper Co., and settled in that same area around Rose Hill.

He married ANNA MARIAH SHANK October 13, 1813 in Shenandoah Co., VA, daughter of MARTIN SHANK and CATHARINE ???. She was born 1795 in Virginia, and died April 27, 1877 in Jasper Co., Ill..

Notes for MARTIN LUTHER KIBLER:
Martin Luther Kibler was an ordained Lutheran minister. H e al so appears, from 1830-1840 lived in Trumbull Co., Ohio, and Marion and Vigo Co.'s IN before ending up in Jasper Co., ILL. Most of this line are buried in Brooks Cemetary, Japer Co.

From Martin's obituary we read "...For several years after Mr. Kibler settled in the county, the deer used to pass his house inflocks and the wolves at night would chase his dogs to the door of his cabin."

He also was a minister in the Lutheran Church and connected himself with the Methodist after coming to Jasper Co.

12. ADAM³ KIBLER, JR. (ADAM², HENRY¹) was born April 23, 1793 in Shenandoah Co., VA, and died January 17, 1859 in Trumbull Co., Ohio. He married ELISABETH BRANDON June 24, 1822 in Culpepper Co., VA. She was born February 17, 1802 in Virginia, and died June 17, 1882 in Trumbull Co., Ohio.

Notes for ADAM KIBLER, JR.:
Adam Jr.'s family stayed in Trumbull Co., Ohio. According to his children's birth records he came to Portage Co., Ohio between 1825-1826 (between the births of Julia and Martha) and then on to Trumbull Co. by 1832 and the birth of George.
