2.  Rev. Samuel Whiting (John1); b. 20 Nov 1597 at Boston,
Lincolnshire, England; m. Elizabeth St. John, daughter of Oliver St.
John, 6 Aug 1629; 2nd wife; d. 11 Dec 1679 at Lynn, MA, at age 82.
     He was graduated 1616 & 1620 at Emmanuel College, Cambridge,
England. He immigrated on 26 May 1636 to Boston, MA. He resided in Nov
1636 at Lynn, MA.

     Known children of Rev. Samuel Whiting include:
                 i. ___ Whiting; d. young.
                ii. ___ Whiting; d. young.
     3.        iii. Dorothy Whiting, b. 1628; m. Thomas Weld.

     Elizabeth St. John died on 3 Mar 1677.
     Known children of Rev. Samuel Whiting and Elizabeth St. John were
as follows:
                 i. Samuel Whiting; b. 25 Mar 1633 at Skirbeck,
                    England; m. Dorcas Chester, daughter of Leonard
                    Chester and Mary, 12 Nov 1656 at Charlestown, MA;
                    d. 28 Feb 1713 at age 79.
                    He immigrated on 26 May 1636 to Boston, MA.
                ii. Elizabeth Whiting; age 88; m. Rev. Jeremiah Hobart
                    6 Apr 1659; d. at Hartford, CT.
               iii. Rev. John Whiting; b. 1637 at Lynn, MA; m. Esther;
                    d. Oct 1689 at England.
                    He was graduated in 1657 at Harvard College,
                    Cambridge, MA.
                iv. Joseph Whiting; b. 6 Apr 1641 at Lynn, MA; m.
                    Sarah Danforth, daughter of Dep. Gov. Thomas
                    Danforth; 1st wife; m. Rebecca Bulkley, daughter
                    of Peter Bulkley; 2nd husband, 2nd wife; d. 7
                    Apr 1723 at age 82.
                    He was graduated in 1661 at Harvard College,
                    Cambridge, MA.


                     Generation Three

3.  Dorothy Whiting (Samuel2, John1); b. 1628; m. Thomas Weld, son of
Rev. Thomas Weld and Margaret, 4 Jun 1650 at Roxbury, MA; d. 31 Jul
1694 at Roxbury, MA.
     She immigrated on 26 May 1636 to Boston, MA. She resided at Lynn, MA.

     Thomas Weld was baptized on 26 Jul 1627 at Terling, Essex,
England. He immigrated on 5 Mar 1632 to Boston, MA; on ship 'Wm. &
Francis' from London, England. He resided at Roxbury, MA. He left a
will on 13 Jan 1682; proved 6 Feb 1682. He died on 17 Jan 1682/83 at
Roxbury, MA, at age 55.
