2.  Maria Taylor (Thomas1); b. 19 Nov 1698; m. Col. William Byrd, son
of Col. William Byrd and Mary Horsmanden, 1725; 2nd wife; d. 20 Apr
1771 at age 72.
     She and Col. William Byrd resided at 'Westover', Charles City
Co., VA.

     Col. William Byrd was born on Mar 1674. He was a diarist. He
married Lucy Parke, daughter of Col. Daniel Parke and Jane Ludwell,
in 1706; 1st wife. He was a member of Council in 1708 at Virginia. He
died on 26 Aug 1744 at 'Westover', Charles City Co., VA, at age 70.
