gravestones are encrusted with lichen and very difficult to read.
Inscriptions are given below. |

Here lyes Robert Blackstock in Trailtrowhill who died
January the 7th
1716 aged 80 years. Likewise Jean Haugh his spouse. Also Jean Black
spouse to Thomas Blacklock. In memory of Richard Blackstock son to
John Blackstock and husband to Rosanna Morrison in Justinlees who died
22nd
September 1798 aged 31 years.�All ye who come my grave to see, As I am
now so must ye be, Repent in time make no delay, For time you all must
call away.� |
In memory of Richard son of John Bell who died 4th
January 1803 aged 10 days. Also Benjamin his son who died 25th
April 1826 aged 6 years. Also Richard his son who died in the island
of Jamaica in 1828 aged 23 years. And John his son who died 22nd
September 1831 aged 23 years. Also the above John Bell who died at
Violetbank 31st
May 1855 aged 84 years. Also Helen Blackstock his wife who died at
Violetbank 27th
December 1860 aged 84 years. |
Here lyes the body of William and Thomas Blackstock
sons to John Blackstock in Searig. William died the 24th
of August 1777 aged 30 years. Thomas died September the 26th
1777 aged 16 years. Also Isabel Blackstock his daughter spouse to
William Carlyle died March 12 1796 aged 28 years. |

the weather than those standing upright.
The badly weathered inscription reads thus: |
Sacred
to the memory of David Irving, surgeon in U.E. Company�s Service for
11 years.
He died in Torr House of the 27th February 1820 aged 32
years. |

Irving in Trailtrow who died May 19th
1741 aged 80 years. And Betty Rae his spouse.
Also Mary Irving his second spouse she died April 1737 aged 60 years.
