This Carte de Visite of John Q. Baily was acquired recently from
a nice fellow in Ohio
who picked it up along with one of Lydia Townsend Baily at a Flea
Market in Indiana.
He looked up the names on the Internet and contacted me in case
I wanted them!
Well, of course, I did! And he was kind enough to send them both
to me, asking only
for cancelled stamps in return! I'm saving up some stamps for
the gentleman whom I
won't identify except by his initials.
