OBITUARY - ELKHART LAKE, Sept. 12, 1941. Fred zimmermann, 76, long time
resident of Elkhart Lake, passed away Friday at 6:45 pm. at his home
following a long illness. The deceased was born in Darmstaedt, Germany
on August 23, 1865, and came to this country with his parents when he was
2 years old and settled at Millhome. He was married to Mary Klein on Sept
14, 1895, and the couple moved to Elkhart Lake where they have lived since.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Arwin of Sheboygan, and Harry of
Milwaukee; four daughter,Mrs. Erwin (Viola) Boeselager of Two Rivers, Mrs. Victor
(Ida) Graef of Sheboygan, Mrs. Harvey (Lillian) Boeselager of town Plymouth,
and Mrs. Al (Mildred) Huberty of St. Paul; a brother, Henry Zimmermann, and
a sister, Mrs. Henri Randau of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren. Mr.
Zimmermann was a charter member of the Elkhart Lake Fire Dept. and has been active in
that organization at all times.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30
am. at the Raeder Funeral Home at Elkhart Lake and at 9 am. at St. George's
Church. The Rev. A. J. Reinl will officiate and burial will be made in
the church cemetery in town Rhine. Friends may view the body at the funeral
home beginning Sunday at 4 pm.
