    Carl Ludwig Zimmermann

    Ludwig Zimmerman, aged 75 years an old resident of the Town of Wilson died at St. Nicholas hospital Sunday morning at 5:30 from an attack of pneumonia from which he had been suffering for several days.

    He was born in Germany Oct. 23, 1834, but has lived in this country for many years. He is survived by his wife and several children, most of whom reside in this city. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of Henry Zimmerman, a son, in the Town of Wilson, the Rev. Mr. Esch officiated. Interment was at Flader's Rest.

    Lillian Miller Zimmerman

    Lillian W. Zimmerman, 85, formerly of 605 Fairway Dr., a resident of Elderhaus, died there, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998. Born Feb. 16, 1913, in Sheboygan, Lillian was a daughter of the late William and Louise Wittmer Miller. Lillian attended Jefferson School and was a graduate of Central High School. On Aug. 14, 1937, she was united in marriage to Clarence Zimmerman at the parsonage of St. John Ev & Reformed Church. The couple was married for 54 years before Clarence preceded her in death on May 12, 1992.

    Lillian was formerly employed by the H.C. Prange Company as a cashier. She is survived by four nephews, Marvin (Lorraine) and Robert (Frieda) Methfessel, both of Sheboygan, Willis Zimmerman, Door County, Wis., Clyde Zimmerman, Milwaukee, Wis., other relatives and friends.

    Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at the Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Gregory Whelton, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ will officiate. Entombment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum of Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. John's United Church of Christ.

    Clarence R. Zimmerman

    Clarence R. Zimmerman, 84, of 605 Fairway Dr., died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 12, 1992, at his home, after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born September 18, 1907, in Sheboygan, a son of the late Louis and Louise (Gartman) Zimmerman. On August 14, 1937, he married Lillian Miller at the parsonage of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church.

    Mr. Zimmerman served for 30 years in the Sheboygan Police Department, before retiring as a lieutenant in 1962. He then worked for Security National Bank for 15 years, before retiring in 1977. Clarence served his country in the Coast Guard Reserves. Clarence was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He also played football for the Sheboygan Merchants Football Team.

    He is survived by his wife, Lillian; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

    Funeral services for Clarence R. Zimmerman will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 15, 1992, at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Gregory S. Whelton, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, will officiate. Entombment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum of Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday, from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

    August G. Zimmermann

    August G. Zimmermann, 83, passed away Saturday evening at his home in Hika following a short illness. He was born in Town Wilson on April 5, 1865, the son of Gottfried and Wilma Zimmermann. On Oct. 18, 1890, he was married to Miss Anna Gartman. The couple resided in Town Wilson until about 20 years ago when they moved to Centerville.

    The survivors include: his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Lilly) Pagelow of Centerville and Mrs. Earl (Esther) Hausler of Sheboygan; two brothers, Frank and Leopold of Town Wilson; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Kuehn of Sheboygan; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

    Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Stolenburg Funeral chapel in Cleveland and at 2 o'clock at Ss. John and Peter Lutheran church in Cleveland. The Rev. M. A. Braun will officiate and burial will be made in the Flader cemetery in Town Wilson. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7 p. m. this evening to the time of services. The casket will not be opened at the church.

    Anna Gartman Zimmermann

    Mrs. Anna Zimmermann, 81, passed away Sunday evening at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pagelow, route 1, Cleveland, following a short illness.

    Mrs. Zimmermann, nee Anna Gartman, was born in the town of Wilson on September 4, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gartman. She was married to August Zimmermann by the Rev. W. Dorport on October 18, 1890. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid of the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran church of Cleveland.

    The survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Lilly) Pagelow of Cleveland and Mrs. Earl (Esther) Hausler of Sheboygan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and five sisters.

    Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Stoltenberg Funeral chapels in Cleveland and at 2 o'clock at the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran church with the Rev. M.A. Braun officiating. Burial will be made in the Flader cemetery in the town of Wilson. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from Tuesday noon to the time of services. The casket will not be opened in the church.

    Louise Gartman Zimmermann

    Mrs. Louise Zimmermann, widow of Louis Zimmermann, of 2219 S. 16th St., passed away Friday morning at the Memorial Hospital. Nee Gartman, she was born April 23, 1873, in the town of Wilson, daughter of August and Marie Gartman. She attended rural school and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Wilson, with the class of 1886.

    On April 25, 1891, she was married to Louis Zimmermann. The couple since had made their home in Sheboygan. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Survivors include five sons, Walter, at home, Hubert and Clarence of Sheboygan, George of Milwaukee, and Arno of Madison; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Laura) Steffen, of Sheboygan; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Henry Drews, Mrs. Ferdinand Bahr, Mrs. Clarence Bennink, and Mrs. Ferdinand De Sombre, all of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Rudolph Thielman of town Wilson; and three brothers, Valentine and John, town of Wilson, and Richard of Seattle, Wash. Her husband passed away on April 21, 1953. Her parents and one sister also preceded her in death.

    Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, at the Ramm Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl W. Ladewig will officiate and burial will be made in the family lot in the Lutheran Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 7:30 p.m., today, until the hour of services.

    Laura Zimmermann Steffen

    Mrs. Walter (Laura) Steffen, 68, of 1808 S. 12th St., died Tuesday night at St. Nicholas Hospital. A daughter of Louis and Louise Zimmermann, she was born in Sheboygan on Feb. 14, 1896, attended Bethlehem Lutheran School, was confirmed with the class of 1910, and was married to Mr. Steffen on April 23, 1915.

    Survivors are her husband; two sons, LeRoy of Sheboygan, Melvin at home; a daughter, Mrs. Ernst (Delores) Zehms of Pico-Rivera, Calif.; five brothers, Walter, Hubert and Clarence Zimmermann of Sheboygan, George in Milwaukee, Arno in Green Bay, and four grandchildren. A daughter died in infancy and a son, Urvan, was killed in World War II.

    Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ramm Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Schulz, associate pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.
