1. JOHANNES² FASSNACHT (SAMUEL¹) was born March 26, 1727 in Hohengehren, Jagst, Wuerttemberg, and died June 1807 in Washington Co, MD. He married (1) ANNA KONIGUNDA HEINSER Bef. November 09, 1751. She was born Abt. 1725, and died Aft. June 07, 1752 in PA. He married (2) JULIANA MARGARETHA ADAM Bef. February 12, 1753 in PA. She was born November 03, 1733 in Lancaster Co., PA, and died Aft. 1810 in Washington Co, MD.

Notes from Bruce and David:
Johannes moved, with his second wife Juliana and his second family, to MD about 1773. My line descended through Johan Conrad remained in PA. Johannes name spelled was spelled Fausnaught in his will.In 1790 census records shows John and wife in Washington Co, MD. The 1800 census shows John and his wife(both over 45) in Washington Co, MD.

-Most of my information on these first three Fasnacht generations come from the works of many different cousins. I am particularly indebted to David and Bruce Fosnacht (genealogically speaking my fairly close cousins, also descendants of Fredrich (1784-1823)). Their extensive work has been critical in the quest for getting to know our early Fasnacht ancestors. -About the mentions of Samuel1. I have included a Samuel in my database as our earliest ancestor because I believe in Bruce's instincts that he is 'ours', however I didn't include his line HERE because it isn't yet proven. HOWEVER, Familytreemaker insisted on adding his name as an ancestor for these reports. SO consider Samuel to currently be a possibility.
