Concordia Parish pays tribute to one of it's leading physicians, officials and citizens and mourns the death of Dr. Ervin Morris Campbell who passed away on Tuesday. Friends from throught the parish with whom Dr. Campbell was so long associated will gather at the Methodist Church in Ferriday at three o'clock this afternoon for the funeral services conducted by Rev. John H. Sewell, assisted by Rev. J. H. Hamilton with special music by the choir. Dr. Campbell was born in Jackson Parish La., in 1875. He was married to Miss Lucille Cordell of Winnsboro in 1910 and they established their residence in Ferriday in March, 1927. The three sons of Dr. Campbell will be unable to attend his funeral for they are in the armed services - William Cordell Campbell and Charles Morris Campbell are serving in the South Pacafic, while the third, Russell Ervin Campbell is stationed in San Diego. Dr. Campbell is survived by his brothers and sisters, Albert C. Campbell, Pioneer, La., John P. Campbell, Oak Grove, La., Iley Campbell, Angolia, La., Mrs. Frances Fowler, Oak Grove, La., Mrs. Elizabeth McGrew, Pioneer, La., Mrs. A. Roberts, Texas. The following will serve as pall bearers at the funeral which will be in charge of Young's Funeral Home; W. M. Heckler, E. W. Vogt, Dr. A. B. Brown, R. C. Murray, C. T. Jones, J. T. Jacobs, Ralph Henderson and L. C. Vance. Interment will be made in the City Cemetery in Natchez.

Thomas Kincaid died during last night. At dinner time, I got word to attend his
burial at the Oak Grove church at 3 o'clock. I got there at that time but the
corpse did not get there until 4 o'clock. A large gathering of people were present,
more than the house could hold. Had a good and impressive service and he was
laid away just before sun setting. Was told he had had Bright's disease for some
months but was confined to his bed only 4 or 5 days. Church service at the
Baptist church tonight. Revs. Stubblefield of Bastrop and Weatherly of Crowville
were present, who with Rev. Allman, pastor of this church, and Dr. C.L. Guice
and H.J. Lea, Deacons, and C.W. Ward, Deacon at Coot church, ordained
Eugene A. Cordell, Deacon at Winnsboro Baptist church. Rev. W.H. Hatfield,
who had been pastor of the Methodist church here the last four years,
returned from conference, moved from the parsonage to Mrs. Sue Power's
house and began to engage in the newspaper business.

Eugene married Georgia NEWCOMER on 8 Mar 1899 in Louisiana. Georgia was born 1880 in Louisiana. She died 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Irma married Hunter Enos BRADLEY, son of John BRADLEY and Margaret J MACKEY. Hunter was born 23 Dec 1873 in Winnsboro, Louisiana. He died 19 Jan 1945.

Mr. Bradley was born on the plantation of his maternal grandfather, Enos Mackey, one-half mile
from his present home, on rural route 1, Winnsboro, December 23, 1873, and is a son of John and
Margaret J. (Mackey) Bradley, the latter family probably being from-ms Mississippi.  John
Bradley was left an orphan in boyhood, but worked his way to the management of the plantation
of Enos Mackey, the latter of whom was twice married.  All the children of his first marriage
died young, and Margaret J., born to his second marriage, is the only survivor thereof.  Enos
Mackey died at the age of fifty-six years.  During the war between the states John Bradley was
not allowed to enlist, being detailed to remain on the farm and produce food.  He became a
successful planter and added considerably to the family holdings, leaving 3,000 acres on Bayou
Mason, six miles east of Winnsboro.  His death occurred July 4, 1895, when he was seventy-four
years of age, survived by Mrs. Bradley, who has reached the same age.  She is a Methodist in
her religious belief and has been the mother of nine children: Caroline, the wife of W. H.
Adams; John, engaged in merchandising at Delhi; Hunter E.; Zoe, the wife of Caleb L. Snyder,
president of the police jury of Franklin Parish; Mack, engaged in merchandising at Winnsboro;
Bessiw, who lives with her mother at the old home place; Ava, who died when about reaching
maturity; and two children who died young.
