William SISSON was born 1774. He died before 1829 in Jefferson County, Mississippi.
Thomas L. Norris appears in the 1805 Jefferson Co. Census with one male over 21, one male under 21, four females and six slaves. Also listed in this census was James Norris (living next to Thomas).
Thomas apparently died in 1810 (see court case in 1837 below).
In the 1810 Jefferson Co. Census, Hannah Norris had no males over 21, two males under 21, one female over 21, two females under 21 and seven slaves.
In the Jan 1837 Term, a court case for Jefferson Co.:
"Montgomery et al ... adm'rs, vs Norris et al ... adm'rs.
Jefferson Co. In 1810 Thomas l. Norris died leaving a widow, Anna, and some children. Anna later married Mr. Fogle and then separated from him; & asked James Norris, brother of Thomas L., to act as adm'r. Anna received slaves:
Peter, Malinda, Oliver and Sam. Fogle died and Anna next married Mr. Lisson.
Anna then died and Samuel Rabb became her adm'r. The estate of Thomas L. was insolvent. His brother James, worked and sacrificed to make it solvent; and his widow, Mary, is now claiming part of Anna's estate as payment for his work."
