Know all men by these presents that we Daniel S. LANE and Jno.? L. PAYNE are held and firmly bound ^unto the Cowealth [sic] of Kentucky^ [inserted] in the sum of fifty Pounds the payment whereof well and truly to be made this 25th January 1825. The condition of this obligation is such that where there is a marriage intended to be solemis..[sic] between the above bound Daniel S. LANE and Susan BARTLETT daughter of [Mr. Wm.? ..illegible] BARTLETT of this county. Now shall it always appear that there is no just cause to obstruct said marriage then said obligation to be void else to remain in full force & virtue.
