***Funeral services for William Alfred Gunnell, 92, a life-long resident of Schuyler and Scotland counties, were held Saturday (December 2, 1989) in Payne-Gerth Funeral Chapel. Memphis. Burial was in Bible Grove Cemetery.
***Mr. Gunnell died Thursday (November 39, 1989)
***The son of William B. and Anna B, Williams Gunnell, he was born September 23, 1897 in Scotland County. On May 21, 1929 in Scotland County, he married Goldie Marie Purvis who preceded him in death on January 10, 1970. Also preceding him in death were one brother and one sister.
**Surviving are one son, Paul R. Gunnell of Downing: four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
***Mr. Gunnell was engaged in farming until his retirement.
