Gable Family of the South

Know all men by these presents that I, Levi Gable, of the County of Anderson and in the State of South Carolina in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by James L. Gable of the State and County have granted, bargained, sold and released and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said James L. Gable all that tract, piece or parcel of Land lying in the County and State aforementioned containing Fifty Two and a half acres, be the same more or less on a branch of the East lying of Gerden's Creek waters of Wilson's Creek of Rocky River all of Savannah River commencing at a st 3x3xw S87-3/4 E25 go st 3x3x3x0 bounded by Absalem J. Hall thence N3-1/4 E2050 st. st old to 3x3x30 bounded by Levi Gable thence N88-3/4 W2590 st 3x2xw bounded by Luke Hamilton or James McPharl thence S3-1/4 W20.00 st 3x3xw the beginning corner bounded by Andrew Jackson Shaw.

Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining.

To have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said James L. Gable his heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself, my executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said James L. Gable, his heirs and assigns against myself, my Heirs and against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.

Witness my hand and seal this Eleventh day of December One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Nine and in the ninety fourth year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.
