    The Christian Magazine of the South, vol. 7 (February 1849), p. 62:

    Died in Oktibbeha Co., Miss. on the 29th of June, 1848, Mrs. Nancy M. Gable, wife of James V. Gable, aged 34 years. . . . [left] her husband and five children - the youngest of these, a newly born infant, in a few days followed her.
