Samuel Pruett and Malinda Ellen Beaty
Great-grandpa -- Samuel Pruett was born in 1832 in Georgia He made
his way to Claiborne Parrish In Louisiana, and married Lucinda Cargill in 1850. Born to
them were three sons: William B. Pruett (1853-1926) James Henry (9-8-1854) married
8-3-1874 to Emma Davidson of Coryell County, Samuel Albert (July 1858).
Grandpa -- Samuel Albert Pruett was born July 1858 in Louisiana He came to Coryell County
and married Malinda Ellen Beaty December 16, 1886. She was born 2-15-1873, died 6-20-1916

Beaty Samuel and Malinda had ten children, all born in Erath County. They moved back
to Coryell County when all the children were young. Their children were: Dellar Lee, born
October 27, 1887, died February 10, 1951; William Lester, born Jan.30, 1888, died Nov. 10,
1966; Autry Marion, born Dec. 15, 1891, died April 15, 1947 Joseph Millinder, born April
6, 1893, died Jan 14, 1966; Nettle Pearl, born April 22, 1896. died May 27, 1896; Samuel
Clayton born Aug. 6, 1897, died; James Amus, born Sept 10, 1900, died July 19, 1981; Mary
Leucinda, born Feb. 17, 1910, lives in Pasadena Richard Elmo. born Aug 13. 1905.
died March 11, 1906 Rufis Realdo. born Aug. 13 1905, died Feb 20, 1906.
Dad -- Joseph Millinder Pruett was horn April 6, 1893 June 20. 1913 he was married to
Ludie Bell Gibson (born 5-31-1891) Born to them were: William Lesley, born 3-21-1914. died
9-18-1977; Virgil Elmer and Virgie Athalene, 11-11-1916, died 3 to 6 months old, buried
Davidson Cemetery. Joseph Edward, born Aprll30. 19181 died June 17. 1919
Ludie Bell died January 21, 1919 Joseph then met Willie Ethel Mars (born 8-4 1903). They
were married August 8. 1921.
Joseph -and Willie had five children: Luther, born August 15, 1922, died June 17, 1929;
Lena Maie, born July 20. 1929. Robert Raymond, born Jan. 11, 1936; Cora Juanita, born Nov.
10, 1938; William Harm, born June 27, 1944
Joseph Millinder Pruett departed this life January 14, 1966. buried In Mound Cemetery.
Willie Ethel has been in poor health for the past several years. She resides at the
Rotunda Nursing Home In Gatesville.
