It is hereby Certified, that according to the Records of this office, Edward Marsh was enrolled on the tenth day of August, 1862, at Linn, Missouri and was ordered into active service, on the tenth day of August, 1862, at Osage County, Missouri, as a Private in Company A, Twenty-eighth Regiment, ENROLLED MISSOURI MILITIA.

Relieved from duty January 26, 1863.

Roll says: "Transferred to Capt. Wieberg's Co." Name is borne as Private of Captain Fritz Wieberg's Company (I) 28th Regt. En, M, Mil., October 16, 1862, but without comment or credit in relation to service. It appears that, later, Capt. Wieberg's Company was re-lettered and designated Company G. The name of Edward Marsh is borne on the roll of Company G, above regiment as Sergeant, with remarks: "Appointed Commissary Sergeant 28th Regt. E. M. M. October 1, 1864." and again, under the heading "Discharged," no date given. Name not borne on any F. & S. rol on file in this office.
