LEWISVILLE, Texas - Kendall B. Baker, age 68, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, June 28, 2004, at his daughter's home in Lewisville. He was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Fairfield, Wis., to Byron and Irma Imogene Shanley Baker. Ken served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and received several medals including the Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Medal. He was a member of the Burkburnett Lions Club and Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Wichita Falls, where he resided for more than 30 years. He is survived by his daughters, Michele Harlass of Lewisville and Laurie Ann Baker of Austin; son, Michael Scott Baker; grandchildren, Mathew, Elizabeth, and Amanda Harlass; sisters, Karen Oaks and Kathy Fakes; and brothers, Kenneth Baker, Keith Baker, and Kelvin Baker. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2004, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Grapevine, Texas. Viewing will precede the mass from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. The Rev. Ken Robinson will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with full military honors. The family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to your local hospice group. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville is in charge of arrangements. Kendall B.
